Welcome Amaterasu! I'am considering buying this but to be honest, all I really want to know about MvC3 is if its gameplay is just as (or worse, even more) broken as the previous two titles, especially MVC2. Say what you want but broken-ness in fighting games really turns me off (unless I'am playing for the sake of mindless fun) and MVC2 was the monster above monsters of them. Brawl-like broken-ness may be okay but anything near MVC2, no thanks. I don't expect the balance in all this to be anywhere near perfect at all but it would be nice not going through a nightmare again. I will probably rent MVC3 if anything.

If you didn't like MvC2, I don't imagine you'll like MvC3. I mean, I don't really follow Capcom's fighting games; I don't play Street Fighter or DarkStalkers, and I only played MvC2 ten years after its initial release. I'm not sure if they've got a natural evolution or what, so you'd get a better answer from somebody who's more familiar with the scene.

Ammy = WIN Thor's in there, too, if anyone cares. We've also seen silhouettes of Spider-Man and Viewtiful Joe, and I'm betting a farm that Capcom's other shadowy figure is Frank West, as I've mentioned before. Anyway, from what I've read, MvC3 is going to be a lot like MvC2, but with some tweaks from Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom and a few new tricks here and there. In fact, interviews seem to suggest that Capcom's aware of the brokenness of the Vs. series, and is trying to see how far they can go without going into infinite/glitch-filled territory. So, if that kind of gameplay puts you off, this may not be for you. Also... It is. Ammy's presence proves it.

Joe is lurking in the More Characters screen towards the end, in the bottom right corner. However, there's a better shot of his shadow at my site - see here: Capcom logo from Comic-Con trailer - VJ is on the far leftMore details and speculation I've done are here. It would seem Storm's been confirmed by Seth Killian on a Gamespot interview (link at my site), and a whole bunch of other stuff I'm trying to compile is there, too.

It's also suggesting M. Bison, but we'll see who ends up in there. I've got some clips of Ammy and Thor (Capcom officially announced them moments ago) over at LVLs.

Apparently there was another "leak" last week. These are the characters supposedly in...
I would be so happy if this was the final roster. X23? From X-Men Evolution? Awesome. Though, I don't see Dormammu. Maybe he's a final boss? And wasn't it said that there wouldn't be any Fantastic 4 characters? Why is Mr. Fantastic on there? Hmm...
SIDE NOTE
This list was apparently released BEFORE Thor, Amaterasu, Trish, Dr. Doom, Chun-li, and Super Skrull were announced, so who knows....

That was another early "leak" - however, Niitsuma has gone on record to say that both Emma Frost and Mr. Fantastic are not going to be on the roster, so I'd be doubtful of it. Besides, Tron Bonne's in a freaking stage as a background prop! I call bogus! Edit: I guessed Trish, Doom, Chun and Skrull from the silhouettes from the first trailer, as did many other outlets. Thor was a solid guess thanks to the upcoming movie, and Ammy made sense as Okamiden is in development. I'm not buying it in this case. It came out a lot earlier than last week, too. Sorry if I came off a bit assy in that reply.

Just so you know, Teev, X-23 isn't just from Evolution. She's even had her own series before, and is currently a member of the black ops team, X-Force alongside Wolverine, Thunderbird, Elixer and Wolfsbane.

Oh man! Watching that video of Ammy gameplay, you can hear Issun when she's on-screen. AWesome! ;D Mr. Fantastic are not going to be on the roster As it fucking should be. I can't stand the Fantastic Four, and honestly I'd rather Super Skrull be in it than any given member of that group.
