OMG... Amaterasu... fucking yes! She's the only Capcom character I really wanted the most. And she looks awesome and she fights just like she did in Okami. I am getting goosebumps as I watch her in action.
In case anyone's wondering, here's the lineup for the game thus far. I'm pretty sure I've got the silhouettes right, but hey, I've been wrong before. Anyway:
Marvel: Wolverine, Iron Man, Hulk, Capt. America, Deadpool, Super Skrull, Doctor Doom, Dormammu, Storm (Seth Killian said she was back in), Thor, Spider-Man (Daily Bugle stage, silhouette) Total – 11
Capcom: Ryu, Morrigan, Chris Redfield, Felicia, Dante, Trish, Chun-Li, Amaterasu, Viewtiful Joe, Mega Man character (Niitsuma said all stages are tied to a character, and there’s a Mega Man Legends stage, so obviously there’s a link), Frank West (silhouette) Total – 11
Here's some more awesome news I found out when digging through the article that leaked Silver Surfer...
Niitsuma mentions that this will be the entire playable roster of characters related to The Fantastic Four. It had been mentioned way back that The Fantastic Four themselves would not be present, and that seems to still hold true. It's also said that Silver Surfer will be shown off later this month. Perhaps he was the surprise planned for GamesCom that we reported on earlier?
Silver Surfer has a unique playstyle and is very quick, evidently he never stands on the ground, but stays hovering on his board at all times. On top of this, he is recommended for advanced players, while Dr. Doom is cited as a good character to start with for Fantastic Four fans who are new to the vs. Capcom series.
Since the last public build, Super-Skrull has gotten more attacks using Invisible Woman's powers, that seemed to be missing before, added to his arsenal.
Niitsuma also says that Fantastic Four do play a major role in the basic story of the game's arcade mode, despite not being playable, and that the final boss should be recognizable to fans of their franchise.
You hear that? The end boss is Galactus. Calling it again.
Nester the Lark: Also, I know YL isn't into speedruns, but he might be interested to know that RPG Limit Break is having a Gust marathon all weekend, including several Atelier games.

nocturnal YL: Ah… Bad timing. I didn't read this until now, when it's almost over.

Nester the Lark: Well, if you're still interested, they'll be uploading the replays to their YouTube channel later this week.

Shrikeswind: I like that Mayles put her back in her kneepads. What's the last game they were in? One of the Kongas? It was a good look for her, albeit very 90's.

Shrikeswind: The jokes call to me, their siren song a temptation I can hardly bear, yet I must stay my tongue. Confound my dirty sense of humor.

Nester the Lark: The replies I see to anything Nintendo posts on Twitter are probably an indication as to why they abandoned Miiverse and decided that social media should be someone else's responsibility.

nocturnal YL: As mentioned in Twitter, I'm currently playing Atelier Meruru DX. I'm thinking about writing reviews for the Arland series afterwards, as well as making a second Nintendo Switch review video after I finish either this or my next game.

Nester the Lark: ^ I would be interested in seeing your reviews of the Arland games.

Nester the Lark: So, there's been Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors. But guys, how about this: Punch-out Warriors! It's like Punch-out, but you fight all of your opponents at once!

Shrikeswind: Sounds punchy, but unless it's a real knock-out I don't think it'd be a hit.
