No reason for them to be in anyways. The Super Skrull's power is that he has the powers of all four members of the Fantastic Four.

As it fucking should be. I can't stand the Fantastic Four, and honestly I'd rather Super Skrull be in it than any given member of that group. The Fantastic 4 themselves may suck, but the comics spawned the awesomeness that is Galactus and the Silver Surfer (who should totally be in this game). |

OMG... Amaterasu... fucking yes! She's the only Capcom character I really wanted the most. And she looks awesome and she fights just like she did in Okami. I am getting goosebumps as I watch her in action.

In case anyone's wondering, here's the lineup for the game thus far. I'm pretty sure I've got the silhouettes right, but hey, I've been wrong before. Anyway:
Marvel:
Wolverine, Iron Man, Hulk, Capt. America, Deadpool, Super Skrull, Doctor Doom, Dormammu, Storm (Seth Killian said she was back in), Thor, Spider-Man (Daily Bugle stage, silhouette)
Total – 11
Capcom:
Ryu, Morrigan, Chris Redfield, Felicia, Dante, Trish, Chun-Li, Amaterasu, Viewtiful Joe, Mega Man character (Niitsuma said all stages are tied to a character, and there’s a Mega Man Legends stage, so obviously there’s a link), Frank West (silhouette)
Total – 11
At minimum, 8 more characters will be added.

I'm hoping that Frank West will be the last Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom crossover we see, or I'll be wondering how much work Capcom put into their own roster brainstorming.  Dormammu looks intimidating, that he does. |

Here's some more awesome news I found out when digging through the article that leaked Silver Surfer... - Niitsuma mentions that this will be the entire playable roster of characters related to The Fantastic Four. It had been mentioned way back that The Fantastic Four themselves would not be present, and that seems to still hold true. It's also said that Silver Surfer will be shown off later this month. Perhaps he was the surprise planned for GamesCom that we reported on earlier?
- Silver Surfer has a unique playstyle and is very quick, evidently he never stands on the ground, but stays hovering on his board at all times. On top of this, he is recommended for advanced players, while Dr. Doom is cited as a good character to start with for Fantastic Four fans who are new to the vs. Capcom series.
- Since the last public build, Super-Skrull has gotten more attacks using Invisible Woman's powers, that seemed to be missing before, added to his arsenal.
- Niitsuma also says that Fantastic Four do play a major role in the basic story of the game's arcade mode, despite not being playable, and that the final boss should be recognizable to fans of their franchise.
You hear that? The end boss is Galactus. Calling it again. Source |
