For me, E3 was probably the best yet in much of Nintendo's history. Okay, could have done with another 2D Mario game as well, but with Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Kid Icarus Uprising, Zelda Skyward Sword, the 3DS with Star Fox, Paper Mario, Mario Kart, etc and GoldenEye, I don't really think anything left is going to be able to really compete this time around.
What was interesting however is this year absolutely no one had anything bad to say about Nintendo at E3. That's rare nowadays, as even 2009's had people complaining despite two new Mario games shown and Zelda Wii mentioned. It's pretty much shut up the haters as soon as the news came in.
As for DK Vine... I can only imagine the reactions they had to their many years long dream actually coming true. I remember those days when people would desperately hope every new announcement from Nintendo was a fourth Donkey Kong Country game and the let down when it turned out to not be the case. Although there is a minor thing that bugs me about Nintendo, and that's that no one seems to have mentioned Donkey Kong 64 when talking about how long it was since the last Donkey Kong Country game. It may not be 2D, and the quality varies, but it's certainly the same characters, setting, music style, etc, so for it to get forgotten from descriptions is a bit annoying.

Well it's probably because DK64 was far from DKC and closer to Banjo-Kazooie. Even the music graphics and animations represented Banjo more than DK.

I'm pretty sure it's also that DK64 wasn't a Country game.
BTW, after seeing Skyward Sword in more depth, the art style's grown on me. It was a bit wierd seeing an adult Link gone cel-shaded at first, but for some reason it just looks right now. (Not that the cel-shading would have affected anything anyways.)

Link's going MC Hammer on us!

Didn't understand half of what both said, but anyway I bet it's just Nintendo trolling at this point.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that DK Vine is some site made by whiney DKC fans for whiney DKC fans, ala Sonic fags Yeah, pretty much. Oh yeah, so with a DKC game coming back, DK Vine might actually shut the fuck up for a change. That, or they're bitching about how EVERYTHING IS WRONG ;___; Probably the latter, now that I think about it. Ahem...For YOUR edification, us guys down at the DKU are the happiest we've ever been. So far we've yet to see anything wrong. Retro pretty much replicated the formula perfectly. Wow, that's surprising. I pretty much figured y'all had the mindset of Nothing Will Ever Be Good Again, It's Just Bad Things Forever. But hey! Shit to eat, etc. etc. Om nom nom. Also, I'd forgotten you at DK Vine. My bad!

I say let's avoid criticizing members of that or other forums with views we don't agree with, guys... It's never been a good idea in here (especially when some between ourselves could possibly take offense to that).

Hell, Slush even forgave Miyamoto after finding out that he actually supported the idea of a new DKC. You guys no longer have much of a reason to pick on us.

Eh, it's more of a tongue-in-cheek running gag nowadays. And technically Slush and Chad were really the ones who built the canon, not the rest of us.
