Which has been my opinion of Jungle Beat all along... Just coz it ain't a carbon copy doesn't mean it aint a good game!
So long as the entire experience is good, I don't mind if they keep stuff in, take stuff out, etc. I don't mind that there aren't any Kremlings or water levels, or that only some animal buddies are returning... so long as the game is good.

(Even though I loved Jungle Beat so lets not start that again) Returns knows that it wants to be a predecessor to the Country games. A continuation, evolution. Rather than an entire reboot.

Do you see the red text near Donkey's feet? It says: "Want to know which other Kong will join Donkey and Diddy and their adventure? Turn to page 52"For the love of pie! Please let it be Dixie! Or at least Cranky!

Oh, so that's where they've been all this time! Come to think of it, I would like to see Swanky come back after a while in some form, even if it is as a mini-game host.

I'm expecting it to be Funky or Dixie Kong really. But who knows... Cranky? Swanky? Lanky? Chunky? Manky? Donkey Kong Jr.? That last one would be awesome confusion! ;D

I am really hoping for Dixie Kong to be playable in this game! She was great in DKC2 and DKC3. Also, Dixie for SSB4!

Dixie'd make sense, if they're talking about playable characters anyway.
Watch it being that stupid asshole Lanky instead

How about a tieless Donkey Kong? That'd ignite as much argument as Donkey Kong Jr. would. Or blue-tie Donkey Kong, or blue-cap Diddy Kong. Or Mario Kong

If anybody around here has got the new Nintendo Power, here are some new details: gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=140096- Cranky Kong is the ONLY other Kong in the game besides Donkey and Diddy. He runs a shop and often makes sarcastic remarks over what you buy. Squawks is hanging around in there, too.
- Six worlds, with rather generic names (i.e. "Jungle")
- As hard as the original trilogy
- Tikis are part of the "Tiki Tak Tribe." One tries to possess DK at the start of the game, only to get sent flying.
- Widescreen support
- In a new move to the series, worlds have alternate paths, a la Mario, so you can skip levels.
- Unlockable concept art, music, and dioramas
- Each world has a "trophy level" that must be earned before played. How to earn it is still a mystery.
- Each world also has one locked level that you must purchase a key for at Cranky's shop.
- Levels where you fly using a rocket barrel. Press A to ascend, let go to descend.
This reminds me of the times before SMG2 and New SMB Wii came out.

It won't stop DKCR from being a great game and there is always a second chance for Dixie for a sequel. And at least we got Cranky.
