Japanese trailer. This game is going to rock! Here is also the commercial from GameStop. Its alright but I could do without the Dr. Seuss rhyming.

The official site has been updated. The full version of the opening cutscene can be viewed in the "Story" section.

Speaking of "It’s On Like Donkey Kong." Nintendo has filed a trademark for "It’s On Like Donkey Kong."I'm not making this up.

World 7 and 8 trailer. Now this looks intense. I like it. The music here sounds fine but it doesn't really fit in, it sounds too much like Metroid Prime's Magmoor Caverns (not surprising since Yamamoto is behind this game's music).

I just want to own up after flaming this game... I will be buying it at some point this holiday season, and I think it looks excellent.
There was some video with Rambi where he was hidden in the level, and basically opened up an alternate path through the level by running through some spikes... That's the correct use of Rambi AFAIC. As a true powerup.
Some of the later minecart levels and the rocket barrel levels look excellent. It looks like the game is based much more on vicious auto-scrolling levels than the originals, but those were often the best levels in the originals, so it's okay. Also good to hear that there are actually some original tunes in the game. And hearing that the game actually has a Mario-sized amount of levels, unlike the originals. And that it totally kicks your butt in a lot of levels. Basically I had to see a lot of the game to really see that Retro put love into this game far beyond what was put into NSMBW. It still is to be seen if the level design is as sublime as NSMBW.
I'm bummed out that so much traditional content was just ignored for the game... It seems they put in Rambi, Sqauwks and Cranky just to throw a bone to old players. But after seeing how all-out they went in making tons of tough-as-nails levels, I can't fault Retro and I want the game.

Alright, so I just got this game and I'm at World 7: Factory. Above all else, this game is HARD HARD HARD HARD HARD HARD....... I can't tell you how many times I lost at World 6's boss.

Soooooooo...Anybody else got this game yet? It's out everywhere now; I'm surprised this topic is still left hanging. (Granted, it only released in Europe, Australia, and Japan just recently, but...)

I finally got it early last week and I have to say that it is really challenging. Seriously, finding some of those puzzle pieces is proving to be a challenge in itself.

Ofcourse, but that's all in the past for me. Now there's something else I must do in the game.

I just got the game (and it's pretty hard to find it here, since everyone just go piracy... I wanna be a pirate too, seeing how game prices skyrocket) and my first impression? It's pretty difficult for me. Especially the K levels. But then, this game gives away one-ups like it's nothing. Much like Mario Galaxy 1/2.
I hate it that whenever a masterpiece is created outside of Japan, the ported Japanese version will use a much more boring font. Happened to Excitebike World Rally before, and now DKCR.
Nice to see the key Cranky sells having a Japanese pun in the name. Its Japanese name is "monkey" where "mon" means "door".

These boards have been dead lately. More like, everyone has been busy playing this very game! I beat it yesteday with my bro (2-player mode is even more difficult), with less than 80% though. I guess thanks to Squawks, there's no excuses for not accessing the K levels. I LOVE FACTORIES MORE THAN EVER BEFORE!
