Really? I thought that was a great Dick Dastardly. It was obviously Jim Cummings, but if I'd heard it completely out of context I would've immediately thought it was Jim Cummings playing Dick Dastardly.

Not sure what's worse, prequels starring the original cast as annoying teenagers or sequels starring the cast's children who are annoying teenagers. True why can't we have adults as the stars of cartoons anymore?

Whenever I hear that I feel bad that most of my cartoon stars are technically kids. I suppose this is what comes of being raised in the 90s.

What's wrong with cartoons starring kids, exactly? It's not like it's a recently-invented concept...

No but people seem to think there's an abundance of it nowadays.
I think the real problem is cartoons starring overly typical teenagers. Especially if they're biggest conflict is who's dating who or going to some sort of venue or other shite like that. -__-

If you ask me, the real problem is crappy writing, not anything to do with character ages.

In sad news it appears that Cartoon Network has decided to cancel Sym-Bionic Titan, as the show hasn't been renewed for a 2nd season and even creator Genndy Tartakovsky has moved on to Sony Pictures Animation.
An insider at CN had this to say:
"Genddy's moved on to Sony Pictures Animation. Titan got competitive ratings with other action shows, but what shut it down was it didn't have enough toys connected to it. If you don't have the, the studios don't want to renew for another season."
(Now think about Ben 10/it's spinoffs and how much merchindise that show has).
In good news, another episode of Joe Murray's Frog in a Suit is online. (It's better than the first episode).

I tried to buy the Reboot box set from Shout! Factory today. Got all the way to the last page of the checkout and then it told me they don't ship to the UK. Guess I'll wait until Amazon get it in stock.

Also I'm been watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic over the past few weeks and find it to be awesome. The show has a real nice positive charm to it. And it's also slowly appearing everywhere you go on the internet due to it's popularity. It also has more than 3000 images relating to in on Know Your Meme (with another 45 uploaded each day). Here's the pilot (1/2), it and it's second half don't really represent what each episode 3 and onwards is like, but it's a nice intro to all the mane characters. (All the other episodes can be found on YouTube)

That's the thing, it's a pretty depressing movie despite being about friggen stick figures. The pacing's great. By the way, here's part two. More depressing stick figure insanity! About that hello pony thing... I'm not sure why it's so insanely popular all over the virtual place. I like PPG, but this doesn't seem all that special to me. I guess some dudes really dig the unicorns...

I love Friendship is Magic, and it is pretty awesome...but damned if I could really explain why. The animation is nice, streamlined and vivid - a nice deviation from the current trend of awful art style in cartoons, like Johnny Test, Metalocalypse, Squidbillies, Adventure Time, Flapjack, et cetera. Christ, I'm sick of that sort of shit.
I guess people are drawn to overt laziness. I mean, I grew up with Batman: the Animated Series and Gargoyles, and while this isn't me going on a diatribe about how things were so much better when I was young (though B:tAS and Gargoyles are far superior to most contemporary animation), I'm exhausted of animation companies treating its viewers like we're dumbass kids. Ren & Stimpy looks like fucking Van Gogh compared to most current cartoons - and I hate SpumCo's style.
