Sam and Max is THE big one for me. As far as I'm concerned, that's the best adventure game ever made. I'm surprised it's gotten a re release as well, considering the rights issues. Here's hoping it comes to Steam.

The rights issues probably aren't really all that complicated, since they just belong to Steve Purcell and not some major corporation. Much less red tape to wade through. Plus, these games are now owned by Disney, and Purcell works for Disney. They just have to wander into his office and ask if it's okay. I hope Day of the Tentacle gets rereleased. I love that game.

Humble Bundle Store is giving away Metro 2033 for free, for the next 7 and half hours after this post.
Also formally PS3 strategy RPG game Valkyria Chronicles is finally coming to PC! With all DLC included and for $19.99 US! It's the closest thing to a cross between Advance Wars and Fire Emblem your ever get! And it's the game you thought Codename STEAM was going to be like in the first place!

Freedom Planet is now available on GOG (and was already on Steam), and it's on sale for half off on both services. It's an indie platform game that, from what I've heard, was originally intended to be a Sonic fan game based on the SatAM cartoon, but it evolved into its own original thing. I've heard a lot of people say that it's really good, and the demo that's available at the official site is pretty fun, so I might just snag it.

The precursor to the Ultima series, Akalabeth: World of Doom (sometimes referred to as Ultima 0) is FREE on GOG.com. Ultima IV, Savage Empire and Martian Dreams are already free, but the rest of the Ultima games are 80% off until Friday, December 26, 8:59AM GMT. They're also streaming several Ultima games on Twitch all day. I sense a theme here.

Ys I & II Chronicles+, Ys: The Oath in Felghana, and Ys Origin were released on GOG a couple of days ago. They've been on Steam for a couple of years now, but ever since Xseed put Trails in the Sky on both Steam and GOG last summer, I've been waiting for the Ys games to show up as well. Took a lot longer than I hoped. It's also worth pointing out that Xseed released a teaser last month for their upcoming games in 2015. It seems that one of them is likely for Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim, which fans have been requesting for years. It's unfortunate that from Ys Seven onwards, Falcom doesn't put its games on PC anymore.

This is just me geeking out over Ys since I'm currently playing through the games, but as per the recent teaser, Xseed has officially announced that Ys VI is coming to Steam, GOG and Humble Store this spring. It's got some extra enhancements, including the ability to warp between save points, and the "Catastrophe Mode," which makes the game play a little more like Ys Origin and Oath in Felghana. It's also got a fresh English translation, so it's not borrowing anything from Konami's PS2 port. Xseed said they were aiming to make this the definitive version of the game.
Here's the trailer:

Aww, if I hadn't already given all of my disposable income to the Toejam & Earl Kickstarter, I'd be all over that. I think I probably already have most of those games anyway though.

Ys VI available for pre-order on GOG.com with a 15% discount. The game will go live on Tuesday, April 28. Aside from getting the discount, what's the point of pre-ordering a digital good? It's not like there are limited quantities, or that the publisher needs to gauge how many units need to be shipped.

Ys VI is now out on Steam, GOG and Humble Store. The bonus artwork is really expansive! It's a bigger download than the game, itself, and every piece is available in both BMP and PSD formats. Wow. Oh, and GOG has also released more Star Wars games and is having a big Star Wars sale if you care about that kind of thing.

Unexpectedly, Nintendo has gotten in on the whole Humble Bundle thing with the Humble Nindie Bundle. Applies only to North America, tho.

Holy smokes! That's great. I'll definently throw iin a dollar for Mighty Switch Force. Might upgrade based on the extra games. None of the ones right now grab me too much, barring Steamworld which I've already got on Steam. Great game tho.
