Japanese site is up! - And this is the opening sequence without background noise (as seen in those YT vids) whatsoever. Oh, come on come on come on.... less than a month before it! I'm longing for this game not unlike this guy for space...

Listening to the music in that opening story... they're... using the 2005 Gamecube Kirby music!

Looking good. The only Kirby games I've played are Kirby's Adventure and Kirby's Fun Pack, but if it's anything like either of those two (the latter especially) this'll be a classic.

To be fair, if you've played Adventure and Super Star / Fun Pak, that's two of the best games in the series. Guessing you're European, Darkirby, so kinda understandable as Kirby games are either delayed beyond belief or never come out here.
Before NinDB, I had played those two and KDL... KDL2 and 3 never came out in Europe, and K64 was hugely delayed and hard to find (most retailers dropped N64 support nearly a year before GameCube came out, making the games launched in the last year very hard to find).

Ah the return of Needle Kirby. Such an underrated ability.

Kirby's had strange luck on the consoles. Most of them being released near the end of a console's lifespan. Air Ride was initially planned for the N64, but got later moved to the GC. I guess RTDL here followed suit going from GC to Wii.

www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/sukj/index.htmlJP site's updated. Mostly videos showing the basic controls and the new abilities - Water, Leaf, Whip and (you guessed it) Spear. Given water is commonly-used in games with nature-based abilities (in Kirby's case, abilities like Fire, Burning, Ice, Tornado, Spark and Plasma are nature-based), I'm quite surprised to see it making its first game appearance in the 20th Kirby game (or 11th counting the Hoshi no Kirby games). Spear is more-or-less suitably showing up now, although it's still a few games late if you count from the first enemy usage of the weapon (Canvas Curse; the ability is later seen in Ultra and Epic Yarn as well).

Ha, seriously dude, Kirby's awesome! Try some of his other games. I know, unfortunately Kirby's games are behind a long list of other games I want to play through, but I'll get round to them eventually. I think I'll start with Dream Land 2 if I can find a copy, then work my way through the platformers in chronological order. Don't think I'll bother with the original Dream Land since from what I can tell it was remade in 'Spring Breeze' from Fun Pack/Super Star.

The Spring Breeze version is only about half the game, though. Or about a quarter of it, if you count extra mode.

Not off the 3DS shop though since the colour palettes (which I'm fond of) that you got when playing an original Gameboy game on a GBC, GBA or Super Gameboy aren't available.

I really prefer the new colour palettes. The old ones made the sprite colours stand out from the background colours which was OK in some games but looked really broken in others.
