IGN seemingly is very eager to wait this game, but I didn't expect em to do this.

Ah, IGN. Characterizing Nintendo as an oppressive force trying to crush Kirby's spirit. Those guys are hilarious. Ironically, one of the games they're criticizing (Squeak Squad) contains everything that they're asking for. It plays just like Super Star, is set in Dream Land, contains Meta Knight and Dedede... the only thing in their list of demands that isn't in the game is Whispy Woods.

Squeak Squad still sucked though.

Wait, what? Squeak Squad was awesome. Best non-remake Kirby game since Super Star.

IGN seemingly is very eager to wait this game, but I didn't expect em to do this.Well, good read! So this is what the whole "Kirby was first announced in 2004" thing came from. I can't tell myself from my loose memory back then - now to think of it, announcing a new Kirby in late 2004 seemed so natural that I didn't pay any special attention to it. So that means... from announcement to shipment, it took them 6 years and 11 months. It's far from being Nintendo record though; Mother 3 took 12 years from announcement to finish.

I'm looking forward to the game, even after all this time. Sucks I have to wait till the end of November. I'll probably still be in the midst of Skyward Sword and Mario 3D Land

Wait, what? Squeak Squad was awesome. Best non-remake Kirby game since Super Star. Amazing Mirror. Amazing Mirror was okay. Personally, I got bored after about two bosses and stopped playing... just like I do with every Metroid game. 'cause really, that's what it was. (It also lost points with me for excluding my favourite character. You can't have a Kirby game without Dedede!) Squeak Squad was the only pure stupid-gimmick-less Kirby game we've had since the SNES, and it was also the only one that was enough fun for me to complete it 100%.

What? Are you completely forgetting about the bottom touch screen gimmick in that game? You can view the contents of your stomach aand combine elements to your sword power that was pointless in the game.
That was a pretty stupid gimmick if you ask me.

Uhh... I remember using the touch screen to save abilities for later on, which was a pretty natural addition to the Super Star gameplay... And I remember there being new abilities, some of which were entirely optional combinations of old ones but that, again, was a natural addition that wasn't even new for this game. if that's a stupid gimmick, then surely having new stages and boss fights are also stupid gimmicks. Surely the game having a title other than "Kirby's Dream Land" is a stupid gimmick.
When I say stupid gimmicks, I mean things like "Kirby is now a ball and can only roll around on lines" or "Kirby is now four people and has to call himself with a cellphone" or "Kirby is now made of string and can't do any of the things he usually can". Not "Kirby has a new ability alongside all his old ones" or "This game is on a touch screen system and surprise surprise it uses the touch screen".
(Before one of you guys gets on my case here, I'm not saying I didn't like any of those gimmick games. Just that I would've preferred an actual Kirby game, rather than an entirely new game with Kirby pasted on.)

Kirby doesn't have to call himself with a cell phone either. That was entirely optional and I almost never did it.
But I did get bugged in Squeak Squad by how there were mini Kirby Lives you had to collect in your belly and combine into one whole life.
That bugged me because there was only so much space in your stomach and you had to make room for things like treasure.
Having to worry about how much you eat in a Kirby game is pretty annoying.

How good does that third one look? Much better than the crap it is now.
Pro tip to all developers: making things look like a cartoon is awesome. It also makes them age less, graphically. Don't be so stupid, do it more.
