He also composed many of the Nintendo DS and Wii menu screens, although it's not clear if the song will show up in these places.
I have also received information from Joseph Rard that he may have composed the music for two other games, courtesy of the Canada Copyright Office, to whom Nintendo has submitted their staff lists since 1992. The other two games are:
If the song is in F-1 Race, it would replace X as the earliest song in the timeline.
In Japan, the song is referred to as けけソング (Keke Song), but a search for this phrase in combination with the games above more often than not brings up an incomplete list, Phil Bond's excellent YouTube videos, and MP3s ripped right off NinDB!
So, this isn't just about announcing new findings, but suggesting places to look... digging into each and every one of these games and finally putting some of them to rest. We are at the frontline of this endeavour, my friends!

Here's a few things to get us started:
- Kazumi Totaka is in a band called A Slice of Life, and his primary instrument is the Vibraphone. Could the Vibraphone in Wii Music be a clue?
- Most times Totaka's Song plays after around 3-4 minutes and almost always during a music track that you wouldn't normally hear for that long (e.g. Game Over, Instructions, The End, Results)
Go Go Totaka Rangers!
