They probably didn't bother to improve anything since barely anyone cared. They just use the same flawed physics and unpolished effects.

Koopaul, what is your problem?
We get it, you didn't like the first game, why do you think we need reminding every time you see somebody talking about this one? Nobody cares.

It's dumb to say "nobody cared:" too. The game sold well, after all.

I read somewhere that it sold around the same number of copies in it's first month as Kingdom Hearts II, which is pretty good. I also read that it was the best-selling single-platform Disney game of all time, but I don't know if the Kingdom Hearts games were being counted as Disney games for that count. I suspect not.

It's all over the place by now, but here's the debut trailer:
And here's a bunch of gameplay footage. Some two-player split-screen footage starts at about the 6:30 mark:
Since it's drop-in/drop-out co-op, I wonder if the screen will divide in real time, Toejam & Earl-style.

Looking a lot clearer than the 1st game, but there's some noticable framerate issues. I wonder how bad it can get with 2 players on a Wii version.
And hopefully your AI partner isn't a complete idiot, or is otherwise invincible like Tails.

Anybody recognize the stuff in the weird clockwork section?
Otherwise, looks good. Could use a little polish, but it's an early video. I like the Sorcerer's Tower section.

Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion confirmed for 3DS in the latest Nintendo Power. It's being developed by Dreamrift (developer of Monster Tale) rather than Junction Point. No word on connectivity between it and Epic Mickey 2. (Can the 3DS connect to the Wii?)

I like how the subtitle is a nod to SEGA's Illusion games. Hopefully we'll have those get some sort of re-release.

Sorry to double post, but have some content. Both look pretty cool. I never got around to getting the first nunchuck, so maybe I'll pick on of these up.

Here's the full version of the GameTrailers interview with Warren Spector. It's about 18 minutes long. www.gametrailers.com/video/warren-spector-extended-cut/728468Quick highlights: - Gus the Gremlin is being voiced by Carey Elwes this time. - PS3 version supports Move. - Spector's reaction when Geoff Keighley mentions Daikatana is hilarious. - A short bit of a musical number is shown at about 15:20. Something else I learned that's not mentioned in the interview is that the Wii version is the lead build that the HD versions are being based on. Junction Point is working directly on the Wii version while Blitz Games is handling the PS360 versions.

Waitwaitwaitwait.... what? Epic Mickey 2 3DS is a sequel to the Castle of Illusion games from the Genesis? Awww!! But I wanted a sequel to the Magical Quest games from the SNES! Ahh well, consider me sold either way.
I think that Nintendo should get together with Disney to put up Castle of Illusion and Magical Quest games on the Wii and/or 3DS Virtual Console if they want to promote Epic Mickey 2, IMO.
