Nintendo already said no on those. How definite is that "no"? Anyway, yay!! Never really tried those last games beside The Minish Cap, in which I never completed the Kinstone or figurine sidequests anyway.

Maybe. but that didn't get a worldwide release, and it would probably need reprogramming to any differences with the gyroscopic system, and not sure they're going to make any programming changes. While there's always a chance they will release something one region never got before, reprogram a game for the system or have a different lineup in different regions, for the sake of this exercise let's assume they won't. Sorry, just noticed your post. I'd like to point out that GBA emulation on the Wii has made motion control integrated into certain roms. For instance, when playing Minish Cap, you can change the controls so that a Wiimote swing makes Link swing his sword. Not to mention they've made tilting compatible with games such as Kirby Tilt 'N Tumble and WarioWare: Twisted. There is no software tweaking involved. If it's a form of control, they should be able to add it to gameplay.

Never really tried those last games beside The Minish Cap, in which I never completed the Kinstone or figurine sidequests anyway. No as in "no plan to sell them in the future." "These titles will be sent only to customers participating in the Ambassador program; there is no plan to sell them for Nintendo 3DS." ....Something like that. I never completed the Kinstone thing either. That is basiclaly a huge fetch quest and it's difficult to keep track of what's done or not. I hope they have something like an in-game list showing all combinations. EDITThe Japanese site's updated, with the games downloadable. www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/ambassador/detail.htmlIt says even more clearly that the games are not for sale now. "The Virtual Console-Game Boy Advance titles in Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Program are all not-for-sale items."

Just wish Nintendo won't really be keeping these games for you Ambassadors-only forever: They are quite wasting some of the good games of GBA if there's ever gonna be GBA VC for 3DS. (-l_i-) They could make some money by releasing these games sometime for EShop too...?

OMG.... finally some good GBA games that I never owned/played!
Looking forward to Wario Land 4, Fire Emblem, F-Zero, and Kirby & The Amazing Mirror. It will also be the first time I play a Fire Emblem game and a F-Zero game. Sure is a shame that Golden Sun and Advance Wars aren't on the list... especially Advance Wars (never played it before). Oh well, at least I can still play Golden Sun on my GBA or DS.

Just in case anyone didn't know. The games are now available in North America, downloading Wario Ware right now.

Ooh, looking forward to that, Fry!
The titles picked seem to be mostly the ones that are more "introductory" (or easy) to their respective series, except Mario Kart Super Circuit in my opinion, which I think is the secondest hardest in the series.
I do like how the screen and audio get cut when the 3DS unit is closed, but they really should have made an actual suspend option (instead of letting the game drain processor/memory resources). It still looks to me like the ability to play GBA games comes from the fact that they are supported by the DS hardware, and therefore porting GBA games would take even less effort than for other types of VC.
AndI'll never know why did NOA say nothing while NCL and NOE were more proactive in confirming the news. Maybe this is done to avoid having everyone download at the same time (you know the news online, you get to download first; otherwise you can wait for us to push the message to your system)?

Remember back on page 6 I speculated based on some Golden Rules?
So the main surprises from my speculating were: 1. We did get F-Zero AND Mario Kart, which means we have loads of racing. 2. I really thought we would get Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga in place of F-Zero: MV, which would have been too incredible for words. 3. We got the one Fire Emblem game that fit all the criteria and wouldn't have been weird as the second game released in Japan (Sacred Stones is a new story). I genuinely thought NoA would have pushed for Advance Wars. 4. No puzzle games...
Oh well. It's not like I can't pull out my DS Lite and play my physical GBA games on that if I really want to...

BUMP! Okay, this is an odd question I need to ask about the Ambassador games.
Recently I saw someone selling on an auction site, a "SD card containing the Ambassador games" now if I brought a 3DS (and that card) would it be possible to play those games on it, or is this guy just scamming people and this whole thing won't work?
(because I assume the whole Ambassador program was tied to the 3DS system (purchased before the cut off date) and could be not be transferred to 3DS purchased after that date).

If you buy a new 3DS, and buy the card from that guy separately, they will not work. The games are programmed to only work on the system that downloaded them. If you buy that guys 3DS, they will work because the system will recognize the games as belonging to that unit. This is the same as trying to play any downloaded game on another persons console, it won't work.

Okay, that's good to know. Managed to use my internet history and find out that the auction page again.
Good news about that auction, another user pointed out that selling the SD would not work and the seller than mentioned that his 12 year old kid was the one who made the auction (and did not have permission to do it) and now the auction has been closed.
3,500 post!

"12-year-old kid"... so typical, Internet.
I don't like how those data have such signature info myself. With paid and ambassador games it's understandable; but why do they lock freeware files and save data as well?
This is one of those places I wish they can learn from their competitors.
