Well, ain't that a hoot? From what I hear, there won't be a NoA equivalent, but I don't give a shoop. I wonder what they'll talk about for the Wii, I've been playing a lot of Wii Games recently, mainly Brawl.

Anyone notice how the art design for Harmo Knight is very similar to that of Pokemon Trozei/Link? I assumed that was a Genius Sonority artist.

The Rhythm hunter trailer lookedd good, 2D cutscenes reminded me of Adventure Time, and gamplay is like that of Bit.Trip Runner.
Tomodachi Collection trailer is like some sorta bizarre Iwata fantasy (Beat boxing together with Sakamoto on stage!)

Always nice to see a new non-Pokemon game from GF. That Rhythm platformer game looks fun. New Professor Layton Game! - Releasing in 2013. Going to be the last adventure of Hershel Layton. Will Luke be the new main character after this? The last PL game starring Layton himself as the protagonist? Interesting, I guess after this Level 5 will pull a Apollo Justice Ace Attorney move and make either Luke or Layton's ugly son (from Layton Brothers, that spin-off iOS game) the new main character.

Japan conference has come and gone. Japanese release details and system specs here.Wait for the NA and Euro presentations before complaining about the system launch (unless your buying the JP version, than go right ahead) NSMB U and Nintendo Land confirmed for launch. First time a Mario game has launched with a Nintendo console since N64. Nintendo Land boxart reveals that the Mario minigame is "Chase Mii" game from E3 2011. (Also Mii's dressed up as Olimar/Pikmin and even Takumaru (Taku-Mii-ru?) on the box art).

Well, I'm most likely to get the JP one (if I am to buy it in the first place), so I'll go ahead and rant.
First of all, they're now splitting before-tax and after-tax prices? They have always been keeping their after-tax prices a hundred- or thousand-whole number (25000 yean ater tax, etc), but now... They're essentially raising the prices of everything by 5%.
Second of all, Nintendo Land is a seperate game and looks like that? That feels so much like Wii Play to me. Except without the extra controller bundled.
And there's no way I'm going to pay 6000 yen for NSMBU. What Nintendo 3DS has taught me is that by the time I got 4 games for the system, second hand units will be there at astonishingly low prices. I'll probably wait for second hand units for Wii U...
I'm surprised they didn't make HDMI cable a premium-only feature.
EDIT Alright, watched the vid and got some more info out of it.
Main memory of 1GB and system memory of 1GB Sounds great; this means I won't have to exit the game to access system functions. Iwata describes the memory as the largest among game systems and 40 times as much as Wii.
Storage capacity 32GB (premium) 256GB SD cards are commonplace, and if you look around you can even find 2TB ones. 32GB looks rather lame to me.
Disc capacity 25GB So they're going to use BD-ROM after all. They're likely to not be referred by that name, like GC and Wii discs.
Disc read speed 22.5MB Sounds very awesome for optical media.
Actual energy consumption about 40w Well, that's more energy-saving than my other possessions.
Plays Wii games, can have VC and WW games transferred from Wii Standard fare there.
Wii sold 96 million units worldwide
Until 2014, Premium version have access to Nintendo Network Premium and would get 10% of points for their digital downloads. Apparently, You have to wait until you get 500 points charged, by then you can exchange those points with a prepaid point number. (I gues this means you can use them on other systems too.)

All seems so great and awesome so far! I dunno when I would get Wii U but I was quite suprised they improved on some things in some games (Mini Mario CAN RUN UP WALLS!? THE GAME ACTUALLY HAS HEART PUT ON IT?!) and there's even WiiU-exclusive appearing! (BAYONETTA 2, WOW.) Going on though, why there's a mention for downloading Wii-titles digitally, but no Gamecube-titles? I don't get why Nintendo's neglecting GC VC-idea all this time when it would be so working for this system. (-l´l-);

Bayonetta 2 is a Wii U exclusive! Wow. Never been a Bayonetta fan but I was still taken by surprise by this. I don't believe it will stay as a Wii U exclusive forever but still, I didn't see this one coming. Kudos Ninty.

God damn, the melt downs over Bayonetta 2 are glorious. This is the greatest Nintendo event for that fact alone.
