Yeah, I don't actually think FF7 is coming to NX. (Doesn't Sony have a timed console exclusive on it?) But I am wondering "why Cloud in Smash Bros?" (aside from him being the most popular Final Fantasy character).
When you think about it, though, there seemed to be a lot of Square Enix in the Direct. Besides Cloud, they also showed Final Fantasy Explorers, Bravely Second, and Dragon Quest VII and VIII.
And then there was last July when Yuji Horii haphazardly announced Dragon Quest X and XI for NX before Square Enix backpedaled and said they were only considering it.

So where was Federation Force? Seems they were well aware of the negative reactions it got, and it looks like it'll be delayed past spring. From what I heard on the grapevine, NLG has been dramatically retooling the game since E3. If that is accurate they probably aren't ready to show it off yet.

If TPC was cool they'd be showing Pokémon Conquest 2 with Takamaru as a trainer.

Well, that was a short direct with a surprising lack of new game footage. That truck concept art looked very interesting though . . .
The Pokemon Bank compatibility with the VC editions of RBY and transferring them to the new gen 7 was pretty unexpected. I have a feeling that this is going to get exploited via Gen 1 glitch Pokemon stuff.

Pokémon Gen 1 may as well be the most well-made VC games. Most VC games don't bother with supporting anything beyond the most basic stuff unless neccessary.
And... 6 minutes? That just broke the record for the shortest video announcement.

I hope we get a look at the full Star Wolf team tomorrow, and no more damn Corneria or Titania.

-More on Star Fox Zero, Fox amiibo gives you SNES Arwing. -Star Fox Guard is the E3 demo as a separate release, starring Slippy and his uncle Grippy. (...Is Giant Robot dead now?) -Atlus FE is indeed coming here, called Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. (No English VA) -More on Federation Force, as expected. (Samus is shown a bit too) -RH3D is indeed coming here, called Rhythm Heaven Megamix. -New Kirby 3DS game with Triple Deluxe engine, called Kirby Planet Robobot. (And has an RPG-style mode) -Paper Mario for Wii U, called Color Splash.

Watch Euro direct, most of the same as above.
-Minor Splatoon updates, gives new load outs for some weapons. -Bunch of indie titles including Super Meat Boy. -Free code to unlock characters in Wii U version of Hyrule Warriors when purchasing the 3DS version -Medli will be free for both versions. -SNES VC exclusive to the N3DS, first titles are Super Mario World and EarthBound (for Europe, games releases differ by region). These are NA versions running at 60Hz. -2 SNES games added to that VC each week, with a purchase both get half off the 2nd deal. -Fire Emblem: Fates PAL release date and special edition announced, 3rd path will be on the special edition 3DS card. -Super Mario Maker update includes keys, red coins to get keys, key doors, and those ramming spike columns from SMW.
Surprisingly no news on Detective Pikachu or the Box Boy sequel. I'm also a little concerned about the amiibo features of the new Kirby game and how it's new arena lack online.
Still funny to see that MP:FF hasn't changed, they just repeated info from E3.

3rd wave DLC for JPN FE Fates!? Goodbye, money and sanity.
Surprised that SNES VC requires new 3DS. For a system whose CPU runs at 4MHz, it's surprising that it isn't available from the original DS onwards, let alone the original 3DS.
NOE releasing FE14 and ♯FE at such close proximity doesn't sound like a good plan. Most people can't complete three FE routes in a month.
SMM updates are good and all, but I'm still hoping for new enemies. Come on…
I haven't watched the Direct yet, so maybe I'll have more to say later.

Nintendo 3DS Direct! It has been half a year since we've got any kind of global Nintendo Direct. No NX news, though. I really hope to see that… JP | NA | UK | AU

Figured they'd talk about 3DS before any NX news, since they wouldn't want one to overshadow the other. I guess that means we should be getting some NX news in the very near future? I give it a month, max... don't want another Sega Saturn debacle, now would we?
