All I ask is that they reveal the amiibo functionality for FE Warriors.

Yay, Lyn in FE Warriors!
This Nintendo Direct was better than I thought. I'll talk more about this later.

Not a bad Direct. -Kirby Battle Royale with online multiplayer in a Kirby game FINALLY! -Snipperclips getting DLC content and a retail release. -Super Mario Odyessy still looking fun. -XB2 world sounds really interesting. -Nintendo Arcade games coming to the Switch, including Balloon Fight Vs, Ice Climber Vs, Punch Out and more.
Japan also announced a new game/sequel for the Dillon's Rolling Western series in 2018, that looks less western and more post apocalyptic and has road battles. No idea if tower defense is in it. Also has a funny Mii character feature.

The bombshell for me was the Nintendo arcade games. It's great to see Nintendo finally brings those back, and it looks like it's being done in a partnership with Hamster under the Arcade Archives label. Of course, the elephant in the room was no mention of any of the Donkey Kong arcade games, which I guess means there's still some legal issues going on with those. But aside from that, the original arcade versions of Mario Bros, Punch-out, and Vs. Super Mario Bros are definitely enough to turn my head. ...Oh, and Lyn in FE Warriors is also a thumbs up.

I really hope VS. Wrecking Crew is one of the VS. System games. It's co-op mode is perfect for both handheld and online play.

I'm… whoa. This may not be as much of a surprise, but it feels far more satisfying than E3. Some of the announced E3 games get further elaboration here, and now I'm all sold on Super Mario Odyssey! Let's see: - The Dead Heat Breakers
Didn't expect to see Dillon to return! But more importantly, why are Miis still a thing in 2018!? - Kirby Battle Royale / Kirby Battle Deluxe
Yay, Kirby using abilities in 3D space! Yay, a Power Stone-style 3D arena fighting game! …Nay, the game is only playable in 2D. Why must you be so cruel, new game? I'm not entirely in for this. I don't even know if I'll play it online, and whose idea is it to have a multiplayer game on 3DS in 2018? Being on 3DS means its online portion will meet its end rather soon, after all. Oh, and don't forget to vote for your favourite ability. The Japanese site says that if you vote more than once per day, all of your votes will be voided. - Mario Party: The Top 100 / Mario Party 100: Minigame Collection
Whatever's happened to Mario Party 11 to 99. But hey, from Netscape 6 to iPhone 10 to Acrobat 600, I'm quite used to skipping versions. I'm not sure how interested in this I am. Why is this on the 3DS? Coming from a place where few people have game systems and the easiest way to start a multiplayer session is to just use the Switch, having a Mario Party compilation on the Switch seems to be a much better choice than the 3DS. I also have played Mario Party 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 9, so the minigames aren't exactly fresh to me. - Nintendo Presents: New Style Boutique 3 / Girls Mode 4: Star Stylist
Nothing much to say here, but the European name reminds me of how the Shin Sangoku Musou and Dynasty Warriors games have their numbers offest by 1 for some really stupid reason.
Nintendo Presents: Style Boutique | Wagamama Fashion: Girls Mode | Nintendo Presents: New Style Boutique | Wagamama Fashion: Girls Mode Yokubari Sengen! | Nintendo Presents: New Style Boutique 2 — Fashion Forward | Girls Mode 3: Kirakira Code | Nintendo Presents: New Style Boutique 3 | Girls Mode 4: Star Stylist |
- Super Mario Odyssey
Whoa, where do I start? This has surpassed my expectation in every way (although I was hoping for 15 minutes of air time). They still didn't show the game's length (no surprise), but they're kind enough to show that Sand Kingdom has 4 "objective" moons needed to advance the story, and 69 moons total. That's quite a lot! They've get even more outfits, and fittingly, more refences to Mario games. And that Donkey Kong 2D level makes me wonder if Donkey Kong is in this game, after all. Super Mario Odyssey amiibo can both grant outfits and help Mario, but the outfits can also be obtained in-game. That's good news to me, since I have no intention of buying this line of amiibo. - Kirby Star Allies
The Clean ability features all three new animal friends (Chuchu, Pitch, Nago) from Kirby's Dream Land 3. Now I wonder where are Rick, Coo and Kine. Also, Yo-yo (and Gim) in 3D! And that Waddle Dee ball is rather attention-grabbing. Buffed Dedede. 'Nuff said.
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2 / Xenoblade 2
This looks so different from the previous games in terms of both graphics style and, from what little I know about Xenoblade, gameplay mechanic. There are already quite a few third party RPGs that caught my eyes, so now I'm not sure about this one. - Fire Emblem Warriors
We're getting Lyn. We also apparently going to get Shiida and Nabarl (whatever they're called, Archanean names are so confusing), according to NOE's trailer. Now I wonder if anyone from the remaining worlds will join; they should have at least one from each. - Arcade Archives
We're not getting Donkey Kong. I suppose we won't be getting the earlier games either. And I think even after all these years, this is something that won't be resolved. The whole debacle left Ikegami with a sour taste, and seeing that they are the farthest thing from a game company, I don't think they're interested in any negotiation either. I don't think this is ever happening, but releasing F-ZERO GX/AX in this manner would be awesome. Put both games in the same package, have them share the same save file, and now we have the long lost, ultimate GX/AX experience. - project OCTOPATH TRAVELLER
This looks gorgeous. From the people who have tried its demo, it makes good use of HD Rumble too. I've never ever touched a SQUARE ENIX game, but I'm interested to see more. - DOOM
This one took me in surprise. A PC staple, on Nintendo Switch!? It doesn't look bad graphically, either! - Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
Bethesda is really committed to this Nintendo Switch thing. Good to see a major western publisher doing more than a token "yeah, we acknowledge your system exists" to a Nintendo system. Also, Nazis on a Nintendo system. Yeeeah, about that… - Phantasy Star Online 2 Cloud
An online game that downloads the stages on-the-fly. It's already on Windows, PS4 and PS Vita, so this isn't exactly surprising. Good to see non-zero support from SEGA, I guess, but I don't see them stopping to priortise PlayStation above other consoles anytime soon.
Excellent presentation overall. I hope they keep this headline format.

I'm thinking they're saving most of the legacy characters for expensive DLC packs/amiibo functionality. - Arcade Archives

I didn't think about that. That'd be amazing! I immediately thought of the arcade version of Cruis'n USA, as opposed to the shoddy N64 port. But yeah, I doubt Nintendo is planning on releasing anything beyond the "classics." Besides, we probably won't even see that Cruis'n Blast port I was hoping for.

I wouldn't expect to see any arcade games newer than the 80's appearing.
Pretty hyped about DOOM and Wolfenstein to be honest. My sister and I played the old pc versions of those when we were kids, so it's kind of nostalgic even if they've evolved so much since then.

There's a pretty fun petition going 'round Twitter to get Bethesda to do a red cartridge printing of DOOM in homage to the SNES original. I hope they do it.
I'm also hyped for the Arcade games, if just for the Punch-Outs. Here's hoping some of the more obscure games get a second life here, like Vs. Mach Rider and Sky Skipper.

It was way passed to time to learn about this, but I had hoped that it switched positions with Zelda mobile.

So after all those recent rumours and whatnot, here's an actual Nintendo Direct... mini. EDIT - Oh my, I can't believe it! Hyrule Warriors and Tropical Freeze on Switch! The mission to erase the Wii U from everyone's memory continues. And I was just both trying to get DKCTF on Wii U (I couldn't find a copy) and wondering why isn't Hyrule Warriors on Switch despite a lot of KOEI TECMO's games are already there.
Kirby Star Allies has a lot of new information. Artist ability, Spider ability (eww), and a lot of the helpers' identities are now known. Meta Knight's still in this game, thankfully.
Ys VIII on Switch!!! I'm really surprised by this one!
Mario Tennis has a new entry. It doesn't look awful this time.
Super Mario Odyssey will get an update that lets you play online hide and seek. Now I can rest easy now that Luigi is here in some capacity, even though all he does is host a game I'll never play.
And there are more other stuff (that I don't care as much). Excellent show, and excellent PR stunt. Thank you for knowing how the Internet works for once.
