but maybe I will wait for the inevitable Pokémon Z. Nothing is that predictable since the day someone decided not to make Pokémon Gray, but Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 instead. Those came out of nowhere! EDIT: This already deserves its own thread.

First and foremost, allow me to say that you are, without a doubt, wrong. There is no such thing as enough frogs. Now, I'm going to back this up. Frogs are perhaps the most diverse species, barring beetles. Frogs run the gamut from your humble pond frog to desert frogs capable of burrowing underground for months and awaiting the rains, Surinam Toads, which are known for keeping their babies in their back, and the super diverse tree frog genus. Frogs are also quite unique for their biology- ecologists have called them a barometer for ecological stability owing to their fragility. This isn't even getting into the popularity of frogs, which goes back centuries. They're my favorite animal, so they're obviously doing something right.

Don't you hate it when you say an ex's name by mistake? Pretty much my first reaction upon seeing Fennekin. Nothing is that predictable since the day someone decided not to make Pokémon Gray, but Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 instead. Those came out of nowhere! EDIT: This already deserves its own thread. Pokémon ZL and ZRI do think there will be a single Pokémon Z thie time, because what else do you get after X and Y? Maybe X2 and Y2 is still an option if they feel that X and Y turns out to be popular enough that some collectors will buy two sequels.

Well, Grey seemed like a lack luster color to finish a generation (but so was Cristal) but this time Z makes so much sense they need to do it (even if they turn it into a sequel)

It's kind of weird how two of the starters end with "-in" Chespin and Fennekin. When the frog showed up on screen I almost read it's name as Froakin!

"Wii U Direct: Nintendo Games"... Whoa, didn't notice this one until now, and it's just 5 minutes from now! www.nintendo.co.jp/wiiu/direct20130123/index.htmlNintendo's (JP) website seems to load slowly now. Probably because of the traffic. I kind of hope to see a 3DS Nintendo Direct instead. I'm currently much more interested in that than Wii U.

Okay, what I got from the JP version:
- Two Wii U updates in spring and summer; spring update will bring Virtual Console to Wii U, and there will be GBA VC games - Wii VC owners can by the same Wii U VC games for 100 yen (FC) or 150 yen (SFC) - To celebrate Famicom's 30th anniversary, for 30 days a selection of FC and SFC VC games will be sold for 30 yen (that's very, very cheap) - Smash Bros, Mario Kart and 3D Mario will be shown in E3 - Epic Yarn-style game featuring Yoshi (and finally, a Yoshi game in 3D!) - Cross-over title featuring Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem - Wind Waker remake for Wii U - Monolithsoft's new game, this time it's a hunting game (think Zangeki no REGINLEIV), seems to be named Xeno-something again (only the "X" is hinted)

I hope to see a whole trailer for that Yoshi game.
I'm glad they announced that they will be showing those three games at E3. Last year I was praying to god to see some games like that, very disappointed.

Seemed like a nintendo direct to rise the company stock, because if you are a Nintendo follower, you know Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart and Smash Brothers are coming. Still, I want that Yoshi game, and it makes me happy that Nintendo ignored all the Artoon developed Yoshi games, lets pretend they never happened.

SMT x FE seems like a weird concept, I can´t picture the FE guys in the present where the teisen Series takes its place, also, since FE hardly has a Consistent cast this could be weird.

Shin Megami Tensei! Fire Emblem! coming soon, bye
Isn't Shin Megami Tensei that weird game where you jump in TVs and battle huge penis chariot monsters? What a weird mashup
That new Yoshi game looks a bit too much like Epic Yarn. Eh, I'll take whatever new Yoshi platformer they throw our way, but hopefully it won't be as easy as Epic Yarn.
Also good to know they'll be showing off some Mario and Smash Bros this June.

The new Monolith Soft game, "X", apparently has online multiplayer. It also seems to use a similar battle system to Xenoblade. A spin-off title, perhaps? So, should we North Americans start campaigning for it now, or wait until Nintendo says they have no plans to localize it?
