Aw, darn. And I was hoping they would announce Cranky Kong as a playable character in Bayonetta 2. And yeah, that Hyrule Warriors game is going on my wishlist. I knew I bought a Wii U for good reasons.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy (would you please stop promoting games not on Nintendo systems like FF13 and FF14, Iwata?) I would enjoy if ALL companies did this. I hate competition. You know what that means? Archer/Warrior/Mage character for Smash! Haha, sorry.

International Direct coming tomorrow. Soraya Saga also tweeted it, so expect something related to X tomorrow.
EDIT The director of Bayonetta 2 also retweeted, so expect some Bayonetta news also.

Let's see... Japanese news:
Atlus: New Persona
SEGA: Hero Bank (SEGA game aimed at children) Sonic & All Stars Racing (to be released in May? That's suicide, SEGA) Bayonetta 2
Capcom: Gyakuten Saiban 1/2/3 collection Monster Hunter 4G (supports data transfer from MH4) MH4-themed 3DS LL
Dwango: Niconico (complete with live comments and other things that makes Japanese Internet culture what it is now)
Pokémon: New Pokémon Trozei
Nintendo: Little Mac in Smash Steel Diver FPS NES Remix 2 (with Super Luigi Bros) Xenowhatever Mario Kart 8 (with Koopalings!!) Mario Golf: World Tour (with Mii as a 1P mode character - and yes, there is a tiny 1P mode this time) A further updated version of Style Savvy Yoshi's New Island Just Dance Wii U (a Japanized version of Just Dance 2014)
I watched both stream simultaneously, but the NA one died on me. I think I saw Darumeshi Sports Shop getting localized.

In a little less than fifteen hours a Smash Bros. Direct will air. Get moderately hyped.

Some people apparently fearing a 2015 release. I'm okay with that. Game still feels so far away, rather have them announce a late release window right away instead of a 3-month delay a few months before release...
Alright 20+ minutes to go, for the hell of it my predictions: - Starting off with a newcomer! Mii? I dunno! - Sakurai's sexy face going in depth about the choices they made. - New footage showcasing announced characters like they did in that Developer Direct. - Talking about the 'new' singeplayer mode! - Checking out that snazzy new stage editor! - 5 player multiplayer!! (I'm serious here, the WiiU gamepad makes it possible, there's no limit for the 3DS version as far as I'm aware and the opening trailer has 5 characters flying into the 3DS screen. The signs are all there mannnn!) - Ohyeah, late launch window which makes people lose their shit. Coupled with their crazy character wishes not coming true will make for some awesome Miiverse rage posting.

Unfortunately my Internet was so laggy, I got spoiled on Charizard and Greninja halfway through the Direct. Anyway, I have two questions for you guys... Was Mega Evolution confirmed as the Final Smash for Charizard and Lucario? I know it's obvious it is, but wanted to publish accurate news. Also, is this beauty by Ken Sugimori (posted on the official Smash site) referencing any previous Game Freak work? Oh yeah, and I loved Sakurai's Master Ball, Substitute plush and Mega Evolution gesture.

Mega Charizard is shown, so persumably that's his Final Smash. Mega Lucario is the new Final Smash, yeah.
There are so many transformation-type Final Smashes.
Not a Pokémon fan here, so I can't really answer your other question, JN.

As far 100% "yes, this is their Final Smashes"... no, I've watch the videos a few more times and unless he said it in Japanese and the translator didn't refer to them as final smashes, it's up in the air, even if chances are, they will be the new final smashes.
The guys from GameXplain have mentioned a few times how they think Lucario will achieve his Mega Evolution, but I think it'll just be a straight up Transformation FS, a la Wario-Man or Super Sonic.

Awesome! I remember the DS version had synthesized voice, which is something that's easy to make in Japanese but hard to manage in European. Are those Mii characters voiced?

Weird-sounding digital voices throughout. I really want this game. It looks like a fun time-waster, which is what I want on trains. And I'm always looking for games that use StreetPass well.

European version also works has spanish, french, german and "british accent" english. Here's a preview of the game. Some more images I think this image describes how many people feel after watching the video. Images/GIFs from NeoGAF.NA trailer.
