Nintendo's Twitter feed said this Nintendo Direct will be focusing on the hardware of the Wii U system and their E3 show will be focusing on the games. Which hopefully means they wanted hardware talk out of the way so they could show us a lot of Wii U games.

Didn't the tweet only mention Nintendo Direct? Most people were confused about the WiiU last E3 and I remember they weren't really happy themselves with how they handled the reveal. So yeah I'm guessing this'll be alllll about the WiiU hardware specifics, what that controller is capable of and maybe showing off that WiiU online profile system. E3 presentation's gonna be full off flashy lightshows and Miyamoto swinging on vines. Reggie = Power! Miyamoto = Wisdom! Iwata = Courage! ;D !!!

They've tweeted a lot about E3 over the last 24 hours.

Non-specific action figure needs his own game.

Really don't like the look of the 'Wii U Pro Controller'. Having the a, b, x, y buttons below the second control stick is bad enough, but they're almost in the centre of the controller! Hopefully the Classic Controller will still be usable. That was pretty boring, but at least the boring stuff is out of the way now. The stuff with the asking other players for help is basically just an internet forum, but at least it looks like a Nintendo console finally has proper online now where you can interact with anyone without any friendcode nonsense (i.e. like Sony and Microsoft have been doing for years) That seems to suggest a new Mario Kart, Zelda, Metroid, Wii Fit, Donkey Kong, Super Mario (presumably 'New Super Mario Bros. Mii') and a zombie game are on the way which is very exciting. Could the Yoshi and Boo logos = a new Yoshi's Island and another new Luigi's Mansion? The latter is unlikely, but the former is possible. Star = Mario Party 10? Also a Mii popped up asking if it was weird she picked a male trainer when she's a girl - a proper Pokemon game on a home console at last maybe? The icons are probably just for demonstration purposes, but you never know. New Super Mario Bros. Mii looked pretty much the same as the NSMBWii, although the map screen looked quite large, so perhaps it'll be like Super Mario World with hidden levels accessed by hidden exits and whatnot. I hope so at least.

Non-specific action figure needs his own game. He looks a bit like Captain Rainbow.

It was an interesting presentation . . .
If the E3 show is a half hour shorter than usual, I guess we will know why . . .
The Whole MiiVerse is an interesting concept, the idea of being connected and asking for help sounds nice and the fact they seem to also have "spoiler" tabs as well . . .
The only problem is, I feel like trolls or idiots are going to ruin the shit out of this feature, by posting spoilers (in non spoiler sections), causing problems or just lying about ingame stuff. Or just idea begging.
"X character for SSB4"
"No, you idiot, X character can't be in, we need Y character!"
"Hey guys, I'm stuck on the 2th(?) temple in the 3rd room with the long hallway and turns out your mind was in a robot construct, the entire time because Queen Zelda killed you in a past future with the 4th piece of the triforce LOL LOL I posted end spoilers in a non spoiler section LOL LOL!"
"Noooooooooo! ;("
"I spent 42 hours playing this you bastard and you ruined the end for me!"
"Who would have thought Pokemon Red/Blue 3D revival edition had new trainers after the elite 4!"
"How do you unlock it! tell me!"
"Well first you need to beat the Elite 4 ,365 times and than the SS Anne will come back . . . " (imagine this one going on for a while okay?)
What I'm hoping for is some form of moderation for this.

Also a Mii popped up asking if it was weird she picked a male trainer when she's a girl - a proper Pokemon game on a home console at last maybe? It popped up next to the Wii Fit icon so...yeah, it was talking about picking a trainer in Wii Fit. Also: New Super Mario Bros. has Flying Squirrel suit (like in Pilotwings Resort?), inflatable Baby Yoshi (like in SMG2?), and "Clear in under 100 seconds" challenge. There's some speculation that last thing is pointing to a system wide achievement system, though I'm honestly thinking it's just an in-game challenge. Or maybe it means nothing at all...

I got to agree with Bob on the whole Wii U Pro Controller... that analog stick/button placement is horrendous. I do hope I'm wrong, though.
Anyway, the presentation's content didn't really surprise me. The whole Miiverse sounds interesting, but I guess I won't care about it until I get my grubby hands on it and experience it myself.

The 360 controller is by far the most comfortable 'traditional' controller this gen. I have absolutely no problem with this. I hope its packed in with the console. Menu looks nice, features look nice, and I'm super glad they got this out of the way so that hopefully the E3 conference can be games, games, games.

I hope games give you the option to turn that ingame hint system off in case it turns into some meme spewing spoilerfest

I had the idea that maybe people could upvote/downvote the comments other made, (but still some would see spoilers) or maybe there could be a setting to view only "friends" and such instead of the whole world/your region.
