"This anniversary is totally going to suck . . ."It was announced back in a Nintendo Direct but the "contents" of the package have been revealed (for the Japanese version at least, until NoA/NoE confirms it).- Kirby’s Dream Land (Game Boy) - Kirby’s Adventure (NES) - Kirby’s Dream Land 2 (Game Boy) - Kirby Super Star (SNES) - Kirby’s Dream Land 3 (SNES) - Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64) And a Soundtrack CD and "booklet", hopefully these are better than the Mario 25th versions. All these games are avalible on the virtual console (KDL2 in Europe, but not NA). So you have about 3100 Nintendo points of value for KA, KSS, KDL3 and K64TCS and than there's KDL 1 & 2 on top of that. Seems like a pretty good collection. The only game in this I have is KDL1. Kinda wished it would have had Air Ride though, I think some game journalists gave a lot of negative early reaction to that game for the control scheme.

That's actually a really good collection. I'm glad it has KDL3 and 64- both are kinda underrated.

Sounds like a nice collection, but I own all the kirby games on their original releases (and also Kirby nightmare on Dreamland and Kirby superstar Deluxe) so unless they include some kind must have feature, I think I will pass. Besides Nintendo´s Art books are usually to thin and lacking of true interesting material (See the one that came with Super Mario All Stars for the Wii)

Argh... I am really tempted to pick this up... but I already have Dream Land 1 and 3, Super Star, and Adventure on my 3DS and Wii Virtual Console. I'm only missing Dream Land 2 and Kirby 64. Perhaps if they were enhanced remakes with graphics/controls like Return to Dream Land, I would reconsider it... but knowing Nintendo, it would likely be nothing more than a Kirby equivalent to Super Mario All-Stars.

Super Mario All-Stars was enhanced remakes... They just didn't enhance the remake of the enhanced remakes. I'll be getting this if it comes to Europe. I had a few of the originals, but we didn't get some of them here. And losing my Wii VC Kirby's Adventure was one of the reasons I don't buy VC games any more.

Looks like there will be a new piece of content for the "collection." There’s also a brand "More Challenge Mode" which is based on the challenge stages from Kirby’s Return to Dreamland. Kirby 20th Anniversary Compilation will have over 10 stages including "Sword Challenge" and "Fighter Match" where you have to use specific copy abilities.www.siliconera.com/2012/06/13/nintendo-made-a-new-mini-game-for-kirby-20th-anniversary-compilation/The booklet is confirmed to about the "history of Kirby." And box art has been revealed. NoA is going to have a hard time editing all those Kirby's to become angry looking . . .All this content is still only confirmed for the Japanese version, while it's probably likely it will be in the western version, it might be a good idea to keep your expectations low.

Kirbychu, how is it possible to lose Wii Virtual Console games? ...unless you meant your Wii was broken beyond repair or stolen.

I am definitely getting this compilation for my Wii. I never played Kirby's Dream Land 3, but I played through all the rest of the games listed on here. Also, I adore the box art for the Japanese version.

Kirbychu, how is it possible to lose Wii Virtual Console games? ...unless you meant your Wii was broken beyond repair or stolen. I've told this story before, I don't want to bore everyone with it again... Long story short: Moved in with girlfriend, both owned Wiis, both had VC games on them, had to decide which one to actually keep, lost all VC games on the other one. The only way to keep them would have been to have two Wiis hooked up to the TV, which is just stupid.

....You know you can save VC games to an SD card, right?

Can't play VC games from a different Wii though
Only game from this collection I don't own and haven't completely played through is KDL2. Might just be dumb enough to buy the whole deal if the US version has that nifty booklet (and the price doesn't suck)

....You know you can save VC games to an SD card, right? Yeah, you can... too bad they're locked to the Wii that downloaded them, though! I even contacted Nintendo for a solution to this, there isn't one. I just had to lose those games.

This is what I don't get.... if Nintendo cannot even transfer VC games from one Wii to another... how could they promise us that we could transfer VC games from Wii to Wii U? I mean, what if my Wii breaks down or gets stolen, I am screwed and all that money well-spent on quality VC games goes down the drain. Nintendo needs to get their act together when it comes to transferring VC games. It isn't just a disgruntled Nintendo fanboy complaining... it could potentially be bad for Nintendo's business when their customers aren't satisfied with the service. There's this little thing called customer loyalty, you know... it's hard to build customer loyalty and very easy to lose it. Anyway, back to topic, have Nintendo revealed whether the included Kirby games would be in their original graphics or would they be updated like the GBA/DS remakes or like Kirby's Return to Dream Land? I have a feeling that the Game Boy games would still retain their monochromatic graphics anyway. Sometimes I wonder if this collection could cannibalize the Kirby VC sales.

As I understand it, you CAN transfer games from one Wii to another, but you'll lose any games that are already on there as a result. I could have transferred my girlfriend's VC games to my Wii, but I would have lost all my VC games (and possibly all my saved games, it wasn't clear about that) in the process. So basically, as long as you transfer all of your Wii files to the Wii U before you do anything on the Wii U, it's fine. You just have to hope your console never breaks down or gets stolen.
You're absolutely right about it being bad for business. Most of my video games money these days is spent on downloadable titles or DLC from Xbox Live and Steam. Nintendo don't get a penny of my virtual money, even though they have more stuff that I want! I just don't trust their digital market. It's basically an expensive rental service.

It'd be pretty great if the WiiU has an option to link past VC/Wiiware purchases to your WiiU profile because then you'd be able to play your games on every WiiU in the neighbourhood just aslong as you remember your login hahahaha who am I kidding
I'm pretty boned when it comes to transferring all my Wiiware junk anyway since I went through the trouble of importing a NTSC Wii. You know, so I could import alllllll those Wii games without having to wait 6 months for translation. Boy that really worked out. Gonna stick to PAL machines from now on and leave my wiiware-laden wii on a shelf somewhere i guess
