I'm fairly certain they'll probably do something like that with Nintendo Network. It's gonna have user accounts right? Downloads might be linked to the user...

Nintendo has said there will be a way to transfer downloaded titles from the Wii to Wii U, which is kind of annoying when you think about it. "If you want to secure your "downloaded Wii purchases" better buy a Wii U and get them tied to our account system! And than they will safe forever!"
So to save money on digital titles, we have to end up buying a new console, It just seems kind of ridiculous that someone working at Nintendo didn't think "Hmm, you know these downloadble games aren't tied to an account, so how will our future Nintendo console owners play them?" I'm pretty boned when it comes to transferring all my Wiiware junk anyway since I went through the trouble of importing a NTSC Wii. You know, so I could import alllllll those Wii games without having to wait 6 months for translation. Boy that really worked out. Gonna stick to PAL machines from now on and leave my wiiware-laden wii on a shelf somewhere i guess You could always send the console into Nintendo when the Wii U comes out and see they can transfer the games, just make up a sob story or something when doing it though. Who knows, maybe they could compensate you with Nintendo points if they can't transfer them? Now to compensate here's more Kirby stuff. A history room of some sort? The six games. I have no idea. ( And then you make her open the box . . .) A challenge room? Kirby Dream Land 1 Kirby Super Star

Now it looks better than I thought. Better than Super Mario Cllection, if anything.
The "I have no idea" menu has 3 things. "More Challenge Stage", "Hoshi no Kaabii Collection" and "Hoshi no Kaabii History". The first one seems to link to the challenge stages of Kirby Wii. They aren't the same as the original, so you're not going to have to play the same thing again. The other two are self-explanatory.
This collection now looks much better than what I've imagined.

I wonder if Nintendo lets us transfer our VC games based on their database... you know, like how each Wii has its own unique serial number? If I buy a Wii U, it should allow me access to my VC games if I entered my Wii's serial number into my Wii U. The thing is... the serial number can be used only once. The Wii U can only hold one Wii's serial number. Would that be feasible and benefits both Nintendo and the customer? I like that Kirby collection more. I wish Super Mario All-Stars for Wii had those little extra features instead of being a straight port of the original SNES version. Why didn't it at least have Super Mario World?! Why, Nintendo? Why?!?!

^ It was only released in the west as a pack-in with the SNES.

...So? It was still developed by Nintendo EAD... It's not like it just appeared out of thin air. It's a real thing that exists. They could've used it.

Guess they didn't want to bother to make a new title screen for the Japanese audience.

YT version of the Kirby Anniversary Collection, watched it before and I beilieve it does contain the footage YL mentioned. The CD includes 42 soundtracks from the past games and 3 remixes (compared to Mario's measly 10). Fuck yeah! Huzzah for actual effort!

Y'know, I added up the Virtual Console prices for each game ($4 for Gameboy games, $5 for the NES game, $8 for the SNES games, and $10 for the N64 one) and it all comes down to $40.00, and the game's MSRP is $39.99 (In America.) So while you don't really save any money buying it, you still get alot of cool extras. (The music CD alone would be worth more then $10, or $15 with a wopping 45 tracks on it.) So overall it sounds like a good buy. (Plus personally, I never even played 2 of the games included, and most of 'em I don't personally own currently.)
Also unlike the VC versions, even the SNES & N64 games have been made to work with the Wii-remote alone if you don't want to use a Classic Controller. (I hear it'll have Classic Controller, and GameCube controller support to, if you want to use those however.)
Also the game's museum has some cool extras in it. Among them you can actually view full 3D rendering of the Kirby games' boxart, and turn them around in 3D to view each side of 'em. Also 3 episodes of the Kirby anime are included, as well. One of them being the first episode. (Nintendo Power confirmed they'll be in the USA version, so they'll likely be in other versions to.)

Didn't Super Star use more buttons than the Wii Remote has? Also 3 episodes of the Kirby anime are included, as well. One of them being the first episode. (Nintendo Power confirmed they'll be in the USA version, so they'll likely be in other versions to.) If it's the US version of the show, this is actually a punishment, not a bonus.

I dunno why NOA would wish to go there to get the japanese versions, work their asses off doing the subtitles for them and then post for the minority of Kirby-enthutiastics. It's more easier to market the dubs since people who aren't necessarily Kirby-fans grew up with them and they are in the native language. I'm not trying to defend the dub here or anything, I'm just trying to explain why it can't be otherwise (in case you wanted the japanese versions of the anime episodes.) I mean, we don't even get the mangas. (-l.l-)

Didn't Super Star use more buttons than the Wii Remote has? Let's see, jump, attack, spawn helper, guard, pause... 5 buttons. Easily mappable to Kirby Wii's control scheme.
