There's not too much to say about this one. Every Friday I'll be updating this thread with news about the week prior, as well as special updates for fighters. Since I'm starting this on a Wednesday, the first post is going to be specifically about everything revealed up until August 4 instead (as well as any reveals in the week of August 5 - 11 *cough cough*).
June 10 - June 16
Starting this whole thing off was the E3 reveal of the game itself, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, on June 12, along with a release date of December 7, and a proper glut of other information as well, most notably, the return of every veteran in the series (including every character who had been cut after previous games), Amiibo support, and GCN controller support (including a new Smash Bros. themed controller). New content included the reveal of the Squid Sisters (Splatoon) Assist Trophy, who cause the camera to zoom in on their performance, as well as three new characters, Ridley (Metroid), Inkling (Splatoon), and Daisy (Super Mario). The 13th saw the official reveal of the Launch Star item (Super Mario), which is a trap that fires enemies who touch it off like a rocket. Capping off this week was the June 14 reveal of Alolan Vulpix (Pokemon) as a possible catch from the Poke Ball, who uses Icy Wind to freeze enemies.
June 17 - June 23
Not a particularly exciting week, likely to give fans the opportunity to cool down after the week prior, the blog this week was mostly dedicated to returning content, starting with June 18's fighter profile video for Mario (Super Mario) and the official reveal of this game's version of Battlefield (Super Smash Bros.). June 20 likewise saw a fighter profile video for Link (Legend of Zelda) and June 21 had a fighter profile video for Popo & Nana (Ice Climber). The week was not entirely without new content, however; June 18 also saw the introduction of the Black Hole (Super Smash Bros.) item, a trap item which drags enemies and items into its event horizon, and June 19 was likewise the reveal of a new Assist Trophy, Bomberman (...Bomberman), who drops bombs that detonate with cross-shaped explosions, as well as the song "Bomb Rush Blush" (Splatoon). All in all, it was a relaxed week, perfect to come down from that post-reveal high.

July 29 - August 4
This week started with a fighter profile video for Jigglypuff (Pokemon) on the 29th. A new item was revealed on the 31st, the Fake Smash Ball (Super Smash Bros.), which explodes when broken and can be distinguished from its real counterpart by the thicker horizontal stripe. The 31st also saw the release of the song "Galaga Medley" (Galaga) and the reveal of returning stage Lylat Cruise (Star Fox). After this came another fighter profile video on the first, this time for Wario (Wario), and the week was rounded out on the second with an Assist Trophy, Rodin (Bayonetta), who punches his targets with a massive, portal-summoned fist.
August 5 - August 11
An exciting yet surprisingly short week on the blog and the site, this week started with a fighter profile video for Samus (Metroid) on the fifth. August 6 was similarly content light with the Bomber (Kirby's Dream Land) item, which is a walking explosive like the Bob-omb, but it creates a much bigger explosion when it detonates, and is not a throwing item, meant instead to be detonated in the user's hands. After a day of no content added came the Nintendo Direct which confirmed exactly three Five, m'lord! five new characters:
Dark Samus (Metroid), Chrom (Fire Emblem), Simon Belmont (Castlevania), Richter Belmont (Castlevania), and King K. Rool (Donkey Kong Country). To the disappointment of this commentator, the Kremling King's Specials do not, in fact, all start with the letter K despite it being almost hilariously easy to pull off. Dark Samus, Chrom, and Richter Belmont are all Echo Fighters to Power Suit Samus (Metroid), Roy (Fire Emblem), and Simon Belmont, respectively. As Chrom is an Echo of Roy, this seems to imply that Marth is now a grandfather. Unfortunately, the prince of Altea could not be reached for comment, as he is a fictional character.
August 12 - August 18
This week on the blog was fairly uneventful, with most of it dedicated to fighter profile videos. The week started with Richter Belmont's video on the twelfth, confirming very little that wasn't already established with his reveal the week prior. A new Poke Ball Pokemon was officially revealed (actually having been first seen at E3) in Abra, who randomly Teleports his target somewhere on the stage. The fourteenth had a stage reveal for Dracula's Castle as well as the official reveal for the song "Gang-Plank Galleon" (Donkey Kong Country). The fifteenth had Chrom's fighter profile video, re-establishing that yes, he is Roy's Echo, and to round the week of was the release of Dark Samus' fighter profile video on the sixteenth, confirming certain differences between it and Samus, mostly in terms of animations and physics. All told, a calm week perfect for coming off that post-reveal high.
August 19 - August 25
This week had a few new announcements from the blog. After a fighter profile video for Villager (Animal Crossing) on the nineteenth and for Dark Pit (Kid Icarus) on the twentieth, we got a new track, "Gear Up For..." (Fire Emblem), marking the first song in the franchise to come from a mobile game. As well, a new Poke Ball Pokemon was officially revealed, Togedemaru, who seems to be using Zing Zap to electrify nearby fighters with his spikes. After another fighter profile video for Duck Hunt (Duck Hunt) on the twenty-second, the week closed out with an Assist Trophy on the twenty-third, Alucard (Castlevania), who turns into a bat to chase fighters down and rapidly slashes at them with what this commenter can only assume (while wondering why he doesn't know what's actually going on) are vampire claws.
August 26 - September 1
In much the same vein as the previous week, the blog this week was dominated by fighter profiles but also had a bit more to chew on. After a fighter profile video for Ness (Earthbound) on the twenty-sixth, the twenty-seventh gave us the Rathalos (Monster Hunter) Assist Trophy, who, being a dragon, attacks with fire breath, wing beats, and a stunning roar. The twenty-eighth saw the reveal of another new track, "Yoshi's New Island - Main Theme" (Yoshi's Island) and a new stage, New Donk City Hall (Super Mario Bros.) for you to jump up and see your 1-UP girl, Pauline, who makes an appearance with her band in the background. The twenty-ninth saw a fighter profile video for Peach (Super Mario Bros.), presumably in an act of 1-UPsmanship, and the week closed out on the thirtieth with a fighter profile video for Wolf O'Donnel (Star Fox).
