3 of my predictions are already proven and 1 disproven. I guess these are not much of yearly predictions... On the other hand, it's great to see Nintendo making early announcements like this, especially when game releases are sparse.

Time to summarize my prediction! <01> No F-ZERO, despite the series having appeared in some forms lately (embassador game, Nintendo Land...). Not even remakes.β Bingo! ...Which is rather sad, actually. <02> Zelda for Wii U will be mentioned in some form.β Yes it was; they reminded fans that another Zelda is in the make when advertising Wind Waker HD. <03> E3 prediction: the next Super Smash Bros will be presented in video form, now that Sora is finally working on it.β Yes! We've got 4 trailers and Sakurai's commentary. <04> No Metroid. It's not yet over its "rest period" after Other M's... well... impact to the series.β Yes. Ouch. <05> No 3D Mario. Mario is finally taking a hike from his main adventures, with games released in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and two times in 2012.β Oops. We've got a 2D Mario (sorta) in form of Luigi U, and later a proper Mario 3D World. <06> The Animal Crossing shortage won't happen in America or Europe.β Correct. No news of that was heard. <07> Wii U games that use two GamePads will be out this year.β Nope. Looks like they have given up on this idea... <08> No news from Retro Studios.β No, thankfully. We have Tropical Freeze. <09> It will finally be revealed what the "new Wii U game from Monolithsoft" will be.β Half-correct. We've got a trailer, and we know quite a bit about the game... except the name. <10> HatPass Mii Plaza: by the end of 2013, there will be 30 puzzles.β Yes. 32 in Japan, 30 in America, and 29 in Europe and Australia. That is, if they're not releasing A Link Between Worlds and 3D World puzzles within December. One more not-quite-prediction: In 2013, I will buy more than just Luigi's Mansion 2 for 3DS.β I got Mario & Luigi 4 too. And then I moved. Should I stayed, I would have bought a Wii U, 3D World and A Link Between Worlds by now. |

Anyone's got 2014 predictions? I don't have any right now; I'm too busy getting all hyped up for Kirby Triple Deluxe.

Hm, I forgot to make predictions last year. :X 1) The Wii U will see a price drop or some sort of early-adopter perk this year to try to turn the tide. 2) Dragon Quest X will not see a NA release, but Dragon Quest XI will be announced as a more traditional title for the 3DS worldwide. 3) Beyond Good & Evil 2 will finally be shown again. This is a long shot, but it would convince me that this new generation may be worth getting into.  4) The Wii U Virtual Console will get N64 and Gamecube support this year. 5) Capcom will not make Mega Man 11 until after Mighty No. 9 is released, seeing its success post-Kickstarter. 6) A new Metroid will be announced. Team Ninja will not be involved, but it will be handled by a different third party. 7) Mother (EarthBound Zero) will see release on the Wii U or 3DS Virtual Console given the success of EarthBound. However, Mother 3 will remain untranslated. 8) Some long-forgotten property will be resurrected at E3. Mach Rider, maybe? |

Huh. Did I not make any predictions for 2013? That's strange, I could have sworn I did. Ah well. My gamer-psychic powers dictate that 2014 will see... - Something new on the Paper Mario front.
- Tropical Freeze releases, of course. A certain krokodile makes a kameo.
- Pokemon Z announced. Releases 2015.
- Takamaru for SSB4! As a regular, ordinary trophy. =/
- Nintendo releases a buttload of new games. One of us overbuys, and accidentally creates a black hole trying to make all the games fit on the shelf.

Let's see here: β We won't see a glimpse of Smash4 the entire year, just a mention that they're still working on it so sit down and shaddapSome mighty fine glass half empty thinking here! A daily image feature right after the E3 trailer was more than I expected though! It's no DOJO but I'm perfectly fine with it. β Pokemon Generation 6 starts leaking out, starters will be revealed, people never shut the fuck up about the first 151 being the ΓΌber genI remember they showed off the first trailer few days after I wrote this oh and the game's contents actually did leak a week before release and ex-Pokemon fans will never stop spouting their 'IN MY DAYS' shit so that's a triple correct β Yeah there's a Yoshi WiiU game coming, but instead of some kickass 3D platformer it'll be a clunky FPS where players can use the tablet to stretch Yoshi's tongue in any precise way they want. Try to eat as many melons at once for maximum bonus points!!Hiiilaaaarious! Though a simple, cheap-looking eshop minigame starring Yoshi being the last Yoshi game for awhile really did cross my mind. β Nester's Funky WiiU Bowling A bowling game starring Kirby and Dedede pinsI'm expecting this to be one of Kirby's minigames at some point though. β Another old arcadey Nintendo franchise gets revived for a 3DSware release. Mach Rider? Yeah sure, why not.ALWAYS BET ON MACH RIDER! NES Remix looks pretty fun but that in no way is a revival. β Super Famicom Wars will finally be an import VC title and I will buy the shit out of itI haven't really paid attention to the WiiU VC releases, but I think they haven't even uploadded the old Wii's VC library yet. Nevermind pulling off something awesome like this. β A new Megaman Powered Up for 3DS! No, wait wait, sorry it's just a port of the PSP game.The only Megaman thing this year was some anniversary book release and even that got cancelled by Capcom. On the bright side there's Mighty No.9. β WiiU has lost all major 3rd party support by the end of this year. My glass is half emptyWell, didn't it? Rayman got delayed to be ported over because the WiiU sales were garbage. Whenever a journalist asks when a game will also be released on WiiU, half the time developers just laugh it up. The only third party games WiiU gets are shitty last gen ports or spinoffs nobody cares about. WiiU 3rd party support is dead ---------------- Guess I'm going to have to make some new predictions then, huh? Here goes: - Little Mac is but an AT in Smash 4, people will still be pissed after release at the end of this year, however... - PSYCH!! Delay! The November release of both Smash games will be pushed to February of 2015! - At this year's Direct talking about future projects... more Mario! Another 2D Mario platformer, based on the old Donkey Kong games and featuring Pauline, the other being some odd quirky title that really shouldn't been Mario related at all. - New Mariokart will feautre an F-zero kart. I know, it's an outrageous bet. Alright fine, it will also feature an excite bike or Mario's old monster truck. - Prince Fluff still gets his own game! I believe in you, Prince Fluff! - 2D Metroid! So awesome! Lots of disappointed people hoping it'd be a FPS instead. - Kamiya is working on that Mysterious Muasame Castle game he wanted to do. Takamaru's appearance in Smash 4 is based on the redesign from that game. - Iwata resigns, directly to you  |

Time to give this thread a mid year E3 special update edition! Nintendo E3 Prediction time!With less than 12 hours to the Nintendo Digital Event! (why didn't I do this earlier?) My predictions - New Smash Bros character revealed - New Zelda teased (10 years since E3 2004 Twilight Princess reveal) - Reference to Reggie's first appearance 10 years ago. (Kicking ass, taking names . . .)- More info on X. - Project from Next Level Games is shown off. - Another GCN revival, or GCN VC support (with the new GCN adapter). Possibly Eternal Darkness. - Smash Wii U with NFC. - (3D) Pac-Man in Smash Bros as a Namco repersentative, might have attacks from other Namco characters. Could possibly fight in a small mech shaped like a giant 2d Pac-Man (with arms and legs) - Takumaru in Smash bros revealed after the Smash Invitational. - Mario Kart 8 DLC revealed later in the day but not in the main presentation. Trademark/leaked revealed stuff. - A game called S.T.E.A.M Strike Team Eliminating the Alien Menace will be shown. (based off trademark leak) - The 90 minute developer conference for a unrevealed 3DS game will feature user generated content in a big way. It may be a leaked game called Mario Maker - Miyamoto projects will be shown (according to Nintendo's twitter). One of these will feature NFC. Crazy idea Mii's as playable characters in Smash Bros? |

Bump. It's that time of year again. 2015 predictions!
-The final version of Star Fox Wii U announced at E3 and released in Q4.
-Zelda Wii U released at that time as well.
-Captain Toad gets DLC level packs.
-Splatoon releases in May.
-Metroid title for 3DS announced at E3.

That's a pretty conservative list, but it seems like a winner.
-Star Fox is revealed officially, releases Oct 2015
-Zelda Wii U releases for Black Friday
-EAD Tokyo reveals a new 3D Mario game, bonus points if it's a Rosalina spinoff
-Next Level Games reveals Luigi's Mansion 3 for Wii U, releases early 2016
-Golden Sun 3DS, it also ends on a cliffhanger
-Metroid 3DS designed as being Super Metroid 2
-Xenoblade doesn't release in NA/Europe until 2016
