You know the feeling: When you're playing a nintendo game that's too good for words, and then you get a Moment in that game that makes all your hairs stand on end, or you get a tingly feeling all over, or (like a friend of mine) you're sick with happiness for weeks afterwards.
Mine would have to be walking around Outset Island for the first time in Wind Waker. I had seen it so many times before in demos, but to actually be there made me smile non-stop for at least a week afterwards. ;D

I've found that as I've gotten older the tingly feeling you get occurs less often when playing an actual game. I still get it all the time from watching games on the horizon though... in fact I STILL get it when I watch the new Zelda video... and I must have watched that dozens of times now.
I got giddy when I first saw Super Mario Sunshine and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and my heart skipped a beat for the announcement of GC Fire Emblem, but when it actually comes to playing a game I seem more concerned with the business of enjoying it rather than being elated by it.
I do get a natural high from achieving something in a game though... be it a Zelda dungeon, or a gold trophy on Mario Kart.
I want to know if anyone else gets this though: When immersed in a 3D adventure I'm still fairly disconnected from the character (I am playing a game, after all)... but when my character falls a great distance, and the camera pulls above them as they drop, does anyone get an uneasy sense of inertia - as if you were falling yourself? I seem to be getting it more and more. 1080: Avalanche is the worst culprit, making me lurch at every opportunity.

Hmm, I've gotten them too many times to remember one specific one.
But one recent one was a few years ago when I finally got a Gamecube January 5th, 2002. The game I chose to get with it was Pikmin, and playing it really made me happy.

My most spine-tingling Nintendo moment was probably fighting the final battle with Mother Brain in Super Metroid for the first time. I had no idea what to expect and kept getting surprised.
It was very intense, and so was the escape afterwards.

I think you need to adjust the picture size settings...

Yes, the process of resizing can be a painful one....

There! Hows this! It looks a bit poor quality, but thats because it was originally that mega-large version jpg with all the little details...

Do you realise that it's still a huge image? If I dragged it onto a paint program it would be full size. That's why it's so ugly and taking forever to load. You need to actually resize the original image if at all possible! You can do this on any graphic art program (including Paint), and then upload it to some webspace. Obviously, if someone really nice with a better paint package were here, they might resize it for you, and even provide an alternate... And that someone might provide some better forum avatars in the future, because the default ones suck. More retro stuff! Whoo!

Sorry, got a bit confused when you mentioned 'webspace' As a very famous yellow bear once said: " I am a bear with very little brain, and long words bother me" A nonexistent prize for anyone who can guess which bear it is.

Er, it's pretty obvious, the only yellow bear I know of is Winnie the Pooh...
Oh, and I have Photoshop 7, the ultimate for making signatures and avatars.

Okay Nintyboyuno... what I meant was you can now change your avatar to one of those two in my last post. I added them to the avatar list. They take a fraction of the time to load, and they look better too.

Thanks muchly Fryguy! Reading back on some of my previous posts, I seem like such an idiot... Ah well, its all in the past now ;D Back to the spine-tingling moments: Whenever I'm on a particularly difficult part of a game, when I finally get past it after many times of trying and failing, I get a really good buzz and all my tense muscles relax after a job well done

That's when I usually get killed by a weak enemy when I haven't saved for a while... I blame Rareware for most of those instances.

I don't know why, but Makar's Prayer (where he plays that violin-like instrument) in the Wind Waker always gives me a tingly feeling inside! I love it so much that I downloaded the music once, I still listen to it every now and then EDIT: I gotta admit too that the sunset at Hotel Delfino in Super Mario Sunshine always makes me happy too ;D
