Let's see.... maybe Tingle in Mario Kart? Well, just making a gag here, anyway.
Actually these are what I think:
Koopa Troopa, Waluigi, Dry Bones, Daisy, Birdo, and..... nothing I can guess. duh.

I played it at the NAS tour - it's totally brilliant. I played Retro cup with Wario, there seemed to be no problems (well, the shoulder button was a bit worn out, so I couldnt fire my weapon half the time, but still).

Why does everyone seem to forget about the Heavyweights? I'd say Petey Pirahna is a certainty, and one more heavyweight - maybe Whump? Agree with the rest of your list, though - then I'd add Shy Guy as well, and that would make 8. |

I really wouldn't be surprised if Petey Piranha was there... and what about Toadsworth, eh? And Toadette (who I don't dislike as much after she appeared in Paper Mario TTYD)?

E. Gadd would be great, I love that freak.
But I reckon he needs more of a back story: just which side is he on? Its a bothering question, especially since the Mario Sunshine story. Good or bad? And I forget, but what does the E stand for again? Was it "Elvin" or "Elvis" or something?

Elvin... and he would be cool too. I don't think good or evil really comes into it. He's an inventor and scientist... and not really bothered who gets his goods in the end.
Besides... even Bowser plays a peaceful game of golf once in a while.

And currently, I don't see any game would allow the player to play as him.

Any news on new weapons/power-ups yet? I'd quite like to see a Mario Sunshine-inspired water cannon, and maybe a Luigi's Mansion-inspired sucking thing, to suck up shells coming your way and spit them out at other guys.

I actually happen to like Jr. Now if only he could meet the other kids...
And Petey is a plague on humanity. As are Nokis and Piantas. It's just a lot easier to recycle models from Sunshine that are already on the GCN than to create new ones. At least, that's what I came up with as an excuse :/

I was surprised when Petey started being a secret character in a load of games... but a huge vomiting baby Piranha Plant is always a winner in my book!  Better than King Boo anyhows. |
