Well atleast it isn't as bad as those 'Happy-Flying-Moments' in some of the movies starring the cute legendaries. Ugh, it started in number four with Celebi, that whole scene where they're flying in the sky, and playing was so lame. That also started in number one. With Mew.

Yeah, Mewtwo wasn't evil, he was just a questioning being in a cloning process. What was his purpose? Did he have one? Was he his own self or was he just a product of Mew?
Poor wittle kitty...

That also started in number one. With Mew. Mmm... No Mew never levitated Ash and friends and played with them laughing all the way. Mew just had short little bits between scenes where it would curiously poke about cutely. I'm more referring to this: But whatever. Never mind.

I watched the Mewtwo's Origin short yesterday and li'l Mewtwo is absolutely adorable. He looks a lot more like Mew, actually. It's kinda cool.
Makes me want Mewtwo in another Smash Bros. game. D: But what can you do, right?
I'm conflicted in buying Pokémon Platinum. I loved Yellow, skipped Crystal, and hated Emerald; it's especially because of that last one that I hesitate to sink money into it. But having an Origin Form Giratina and a Sky Form Shaymin would be pretty awesome. I'm trying to collect at least one of every Pokemon, as well as one of each physical variation of each Pokemon (like the four forms of Deoxys), excluding Shinies. The only Shinies I've ever had were hacked that I received over GTS. D: Oh, and that red Gyarados from GSC, but that doesn't count. Oh, and all the color alterations for Spinda. Screw that shit.

Gah! I just thought up something extremely awesome and epic!!!!
Okay, remember how I brought up that the DSi would have it's own shop channel thing where you would buy Gameboy Games? Well, the DSi has no GBA slot, so what if my theory ends up being true and they sell Pokemon Red/Blue and Gold/Silver! That would solve the problem with missing Pokemon because you'd be able to connect it to Platinum (or Diamond and Pearl)!
The DSi is almost a portable Wii anyway...they have a slot for an SD card, they have firmware you update, and it's already been confirmed that you can buy and download games for it.

Oh, I thought about that too. But the original Pokemon from Red/ Blue are very different then then what they are now, with all the stat changes and all.

Yeah, the reason backwards compatibility wasn't possible between RSE and GSC in the first place was that the way the Pokémon themselves are programmed was overhauled completely. So it'd still need to be a remake. And if they're doing that, why not just remake it it entirely as a retail release and rake in more money?

I agree. That's why they made FR/LG and why we feel that the G/S remakes are possible.
I wished they would come up with a way to map your old caught Pokémon to the newer structure, even if that meant restrictions on particular moves or items, readjustment of stats, and random generation of abilities and natures. I was wishing for it to be an adapter you could insert into the GBA slot, but... DSi came first and it no longer has that slot.

Heh, I missed this earlier. TEi, this is exactly what I'm doing. Except I'm putting them all into Pokémon Ranch. I did managed to get a shiny Unown while I was catching them all, though. It's a Q. But Spinda? Yeah, that'd be crazy. There are 4,294,967,296 possible variations of Spinda (and no, I didn't make that up! That's the actual number!).

Yeah, I'm keeping mine on Ranch, too - I don't want to micro-manage my DP boxes like that, it's way too much of a hastle. I really only hold onto what I need, like my team, my HM bitches, my breeding Pokemon and a Scizor that knows False Swipe. Ranch is really handy if you're collecting, lemme tell you.

I was involved in a local tournament a while ago, so there were many unwanted Pokémon that I received from the Daycare in the process. I'm storing them in the Ranch instead of releasing them. I'm still at 300 stored Pokémon, though About the shinies, I have about 4 from Emerald and Diamond, but there was a fifth one (third one encountered) who was a Graveler that knew Explosion... and used it! Always save a Master Ball for those Pokémon if shiny, as they'll most of the times know either Selfdestruct or Explosion in the wild (only 3 other moves separate one from the other in order of learnable moves). Even sleep can be unreliable if you take too long to weaken the Pokémon.

Well, I think I've made a decision. I'm going to buy Platinum because I really DO want those alternate-form versions of Shaymin and Giratina, and also because of the alternate forms Rotom can take; they're all awesome, but apparently only available through Platinum. Besides, I want to raise one (either Lawnmower or Fridge Rotom, not sure yet), as well as start fresh with a new Bulbasaur. And maybe a Farfetch'd, since I've used every other bird that I really care for recently. Farfetch'd is awesome.

I guess I'll get this version, only because it's possible to get both Palkia and Dialga (unlike Pearl/Diamond which only had one). It'll also give me a reason to start playing LeafGreen and Sapphire again.

I'm getting kinda bored of Diamond, so I'll probably get Platinum. I know that sounds like a stupid reason - but I want the new Rotom formes also... and Giratina too I guess. I won't getting the Sky Forme of Shaymin unfortunately, since I missed that promotion (because I wasn't informed and I'm not going to TRU for a freaking Pokemon.) Anyways, it should be a crime that NOA has neglected the Wi-Fi Mystery Gift feature of DP. In Japan they used it to distribute the Secret Key in Platinum. Hopefully NOA will do the same. I expect it to be the only time they use that feature. And why did they go back to TRU? They gave away Deoxys at GameStop (which I got since a GameStop is right next to the grocery store.) They should continue giving away Pokemon at GameStop... or why not both?
And didn't they have to patch Ranch to work with Platinum? Maybe it was just a rumor.

There is going to be a Platinum Ranch update. It'll include new sections on the Ranch (like a water section), new forms of Pokemon, new Look-See members, and new toys.
