It's best to use a standard browser. Afterwards, click on "learn more about the Secret Key!" and then on "How to Get the Secret Key over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection". In a nutshell, for those without access to the Flash site, the instructions say the following: - Enable Mystery Gifts on Pokémon Platinum. Instructions for this are in the flyer inside the box for your copy of Pokémon Platinum.
- Next, you access the Mystery Gift mode
- Choose "Receive Gift"
- Choose "Get via Nintendo WFC"
- The name of this Mystery Gift is "Unlock the Secret!". Accept it.
- Go to the closest Poké Mart to receive the Secret Key.

Is it unacceptable to say common knowledge like that? It was obvious, since you'll definitely have to save eventually in a game that long. If you don't receive the item and you don't save, the mailman will still be at the Poké Mart and the worst thing that could happen is you being unable to receive a newer gift. The entrance to the secret room is at the upper left corner of the first floor in Eterna City's Team Galactic building. You press A while facing the wall.

Check this out you all! ;D The Member Card key item will be obtainable via Nintendo Wi-Fi one of these days. Late last night, the official site has confirmed the US WiFi event dates for the Member Card. This item is only downloadable through Mystery Gift over WiFi in Pokémon Platinum and will give you access to the Canalave City Inn. Once there, you will fall asleep and wake up on New Moon Island with a Level 50 Darkrai to capture. This event is scheduled to run from August 3rd to September 13th. The European Dates are likely to be revealed shortly and be around a similar time (text from Serebii.net) For more information, go right here.

Turns out the European dates are the same, though it wasn't actually officially announced. Good thing some Europeans thought to check! So if you're in Europe and have Platinum, go download your Member Card.
OR ELSE.

A new event started September 28th this year without being announced in this thread, and will end November 8th; however, it might stay on a little longer like another event.
Diamond and Pearl owners had a chance to catch Shaymin at a local Toys R Us, and now Platinum owners also have a chance to catch the same Pokemon; however, this would be different. If they already got the Secret Key and/or the Member Card, then they should start using the Mystery Gift mode through Nintendo Wi-Fi to obtain Oak's Letter.
Next, after obtaining it at a Poke Mart, and if you entered the Hall of Fame while upgrading to the National Pokedex, return to Route 224 (Victory Road) to find a path you couldn't see earlier. Take his letter to the stone tablet at the end of the route and you'll meet and run with him toward Flower Paradise to encounter Shaymin. Remember, be prepared. Sometimes you can never be sure if you have enough stuff needed to catch it.
And keep an eye out for anything related to Arceus.

Thanks for posting this, Parrot I completely missed it in my effort to avoid every single HeartGold/SoulSilver spoiler at Serebii.net and other sites for more than one month. And I hadn't read the official site during this time, either. For anyone interested, here's the information page on the American official site.

Hopefully they'll give away the Arceus item via WiFi fairly soon, too. It used to be easy enough for me to hop on the train for half an hour to get into London for an event, but since I moved to Scotland... all the events are in Glasgow, and I'm near Edinburgh. It'd cost me more to get there than it did to buy Platinum in the first place.

If they don't give it away through Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, then I guess I'll have to contact my big sister to run with me over to our largest mall to do some early Christmas shopping in order to make it easier for me to obtain Arceus. If she nor anyone else won't let me during the beginning and end of this event, then I guess there will be another way to obtain it besides trading, glitching and using cheating devices, which is Nintendo giving out the Azure Flute through Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection like the Member Card for catching Darkrai and Oak's Letter for catching another Shaymin.

More Arceus details are added to the website, and yes, you can only obtain Arceus at a Toys "R" Us. They said that you cannot have more than two Wonder Cards when downloading Arceus. Don't know why, but I still have three Wonder Cards for the Secret Key, the Member Card and Oak's Letter.

It's because the game can only store three Wonder Cards at once.
