Yes, I brought up earlier that the Link in AoL is the one from OoT, just older. Hyrule was taken over by Ganondorf while Link was in Termina. That's just my theory... Which would be a fine theory, but needs more clarification. We know that the Link in AoL is the same Link from LoZ, only older. So LoZ has to take place between the two somewhere. Also, the Triforce was in the Golden Land until OoT, so the AoL king ruling with it would have had to take place in those few short years between OoT and LoZ. Even though that king "was a child of man and died". Unless we throw in some weird Termina timewarp or something... but we're already playing with split timelines

Well, here's a better way to demonstrate my theory. Here is artwork of Link from OoT. Here's Majora's Mask. (He's slightly older) And *ahem* the original Legend of Zelda (I can't really tell how old he is...) Adventures of Link where he is obviously older.

I... don't understand what you're demonstrating.

He is obviously older. That's because in the original he is a "lad" (don't think they specify an age either, but guessing around 10), and the story of AoL begins on Link's 16th birthday.
And there's one thing I forgot. On AoL Link's 16th birthday, a mysterious Triforce mark appears on the back of Link's hand. He rushes to Impa to find out what it means. OoT Link has already done all that.
So they're not the same Link. Generally assume the game-pairings stand as I specified earlier in the thread. No point playing around with them.

1. If she was, she couldn't exist along the TWW timeline because she'd have been submerged in Hyrule. It's possible that she is down there, still sleeping under the water. If she can go for hundreds of years without aging, who's to say she couldn't survive a little flood, huh? Or perhaps the palace she's in is waterproof... or perhaps Northern Hyrule wasn't flooded. I'm pretty sure AoL was the only game that ever took place there, so it's possible. The "Original Zelda" didn't drown with Hyrule because North Palace is far away from where the traditional Hyrule is supposed to be as seen in this map of AoL That's Hyrule from Zelda I in the bottom left hand corner. Lots of water near Death Mountain though... Could Old Hyrule still be under there and they just moved to the Zelda 1 Hyrule?
