Hikari was considered, actually. It was somewhat slapped together because I didn't have the real movesets/playstyles down for most of the characters, though I think she'd work really well. There's no "japanese girl" in there anyways, so why not? She fills that role nicely.
And the final bosses are "Misses Hand" and "Madame Hand." Madame Hand, being a... ahem... madame... is the "crazy" one.
EDIT: I am currently sketching characters for this particular game idea. Not sure if I want to go the "massive character portrait" route and do them basically Brawl style, or go with a much smaller "cast" picture and draw them in my own style. I might do a combination of both.
Oh, and I added Hikari. I came up with a FANTASTIC moveset for her. At least... in my mind
I've been working on my Smash Sisters idea some more, guys. I've got a beefier roster that now includes a few more surprising faces: a Koopaling (I bet it's Lemmy!), an armored beauty, a brand new duo, and an AU version of an existing character. Hmm...
Also, I think the game's Adventure Mode should work more like the one in Melee. There would be cutscenes a la SSE, but the characters are all available from the getgo and the stages are very much "set" with not too many hidden paths and the like. Each character has her own intro story and ending cutscene, so the Adventure Mode is unique to each character in some respect. They end with their own "rival" character depending on the story, then end on the archvillainess of the game: Veran. After Veran comes the fight with the boss of Adventure Mode. Veran takes the role of Ganon from SSE, with Palutena appearing as the central good "force" of the game. Both her and Veran are "boss characters" done SNK style: they are hard as hell to unlock, but you DO fight them in the regular Mode and when you play as them they have their own unique "spin" on Adventure Mode.
What do you guys think of a few "deviants" entering the fray? SNK Girl Fighter had "Ms. X" who was really Iori in drag. I was thinking something like... "Ms. L," maybe "Captain Falconette"?
Well, I was telling GG the other night that Smash Sisters would have to look drastically different. It would still play like Smash, but the graphics would be super-deformed FFIII/IV DS style with a "cutesy fighter" feel, similar to Pocket Fighter or Puzzle Fighter. It would definitely play up the girliness.
nocturnal YL: This kind of reminds me of modern 3D printing, where the software needs to formulate the steps for replicating the object rather than just going in a simple 2D matrix manner as in inkjet printing. Nice video.

Evie the Mother Hen ❤✿: From the looks of it we could create a Pokémon Family ROM hack, FE Family, etc.; but if the number of stiching points was changed from the original design you'd need to fix that with more hacking.

Nester the Lark: I'm working on something for the forum. Hopefully I'll have it finished this week.

nocturnal YL: I settled on the games I'll showcase for my NinDB Top 25. I've tried a lot of games, but a list of favourites is going to be imbalanced regardless. There are absolutely no NES, N64, DS and original Game Boy games in my list.

nocturnal YL: Given that I just said what my favourite games are not long ago, my list will be unsurprising. Now, should I attempt to rank them? What aspects should I highlight to make them more interesting? Hmm…

Nester the Lark: Remember the "Everybody Votes" channel on the original Wii? There was a section where you could submit your own suggestion for a poll. I seem to recall two of my suggestions being used, but I only remember what one of them was.

Nester the Lark: Here's an archive of results from the Everybody Votes channel. I found my poll question in the US English section for September 1, 2009.

nocturnal YL: Do you consider yourself to be more of a ... Romantic: 39.1% Realist: 60.9% This one, right? So… what's your own vote to that question? (I'd have picked realist.)

Nester the Lark: ^ At the time, I think I picked romantic. Not sure what I'd pick today. I feel like I'm somewhere in between.

Nester the Lark: Lately, the forum feels more like "Nester & YL's clubhouse."

nocturnal YL: Looking at the other members' last online date, I can safely say that this place is pretty much inactive by now.

Nester the Lark: Looking at an old post I wrote two years ago, I noticed I misspelled "threw" as "through," and now I'm angry at myself.

nocturnal YL: …Why am I still seeking gaming news when I have 7 games yet to complete and at least 2 more that I plan to get? (EDIT — Oh right, Ys IX has a confirmed release date. That makes at least 3 games I'll get later.)
Jun 14, 2021 10:18:41 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: My current plan is to play Atelier Firis DX now, which online guides suggest is long. Atelier Lydie & Suelle DX will likewise be long (longer than the original too, due to DLC, DX additions and I'll make the best items). I'll maybe play Ys Origin after.
Jun 14, 2021 10:28:43 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Not sure about what I'll play after. Another Atelier game will probably be out by then, either completing the Secret series or giving us Arland 5. Either way, I'll probably play those before going elsewhere. Dusk will have to wait for quite a bit…
