Hey folks, this here is a thread about my game ideas. I'm planning on drumming up some sketches here and there to scan over this long winter break, so you can all see what goes in my noggin, but for now just read on to see what ya think
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Super Mario Bros. Generations
The coup d'grace, a Mario game to end all Mario games. During a peaceful picnic, the Mario Bros. and Peach are disturbed by a crash overhead. It's the doomship armada! Bowser, Jr., Kamek, Kammy, and the forgotten Koopalings are leading an onslaught on the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario and Luigi leap into action but Peach is still kidnapped in the scuffle. In the bushes, Wario and Waluigi watch humorously as they plot their one and only chance to outdo the Mario Bros. And as Mario and Luigi dash off to catch the doomship with Peach aboard, the wicked Wario and Waluigi follow soon after.
The game plays like Mario 3 meets New Super Mario Bros. The map screen is very reminiscent of Mario 3 as is the gameplay, but the graphics and presentation are very NSMB-esque. There are Mushroom Houses (Red - Toad, item shop; Green - Toadette, 1-ups; Brown - Toadsworth, one free item; Blue - replaces any other after certain requirements, gives specialty suit), Tumble Houses (minigames), Ghost Houses, Fortresses, Castles, Coin Ships, etc. etc. And if you go back to the Mushroom Kingdom to relax, there's E. Gadd's Garage for in-game options.
You can play as any of the four characters. Mario is average and retains his normal abilities plus a Spin Jump; Luigi is a tad faster and jumps a bit higher; Waluigi is similar to Luigi with less traction and no Spin Jump in exchange for a Drill Stomp that defeats spiked enemies; and Wario is slower, heavier, and stronger with no Spin Jump but instead the Body Slam attack.
Powerups are very Mario 3, with the Fire Flower, Hammer Suit, and all the rest returning. Newer powerups appear, such as the Ice Flower, Bee Suit, and Mega Mushroom. And then brand-spanking-new powerups are here as well! The Mouser and Panda Suits (Mario Adventure hack) let you toss bombs or run up walls respectively; both have a fancier version of the normal Spin Jump. The Fox and Ram suits (me) increase your speed while letting your toss your coins or allow you to run straight through enemies and headbutt blocks. Each character gets a unique suit as well. Mario's Star Suit is invincible at full speed and smashes all in its path; Luigi's Nimbus Suit can fly indefinitely and pass by enemies easily; Wario's Bull Hat lets him smash any and everything; and Waluigi's Dark Suit lets him double jump, walk through some walls, and throw thorns at enemies.
Yoshi is back, and this time he comes in 7 colors. Black, White, and Brown make their debut with their own abilities. Black Yoshi can run faster and spit firecracker like fireballs; White Yoshi can hide in the background and gets a better flutter kick; and Brown Yoshi does an enemy and block pounding drill when he butt stomps. Other rides include Birdo in 3 flavors (Pink, Purple with Charge Eggs, and Orange with Rapid Fire Eggs) and Rex, who comes in two (Blue and Black with Bull Charge).
The game plays out across 9 worlds. As the story goes, Bowser is off to kidnap 8 maidens who house the Elements that will open his way to greater power. Peach is just one of them. The other 7 lie in other Kingdoms across the globe, and Mario and Co. must save them from the vile Koopalings before the Elements are lost to Koopa. By beating each Koopaling, World Boss, and collecting as many Power Stars as they can, the brothers may just have a chance! On your travels, you are helped by an airship crew led by a Toad named Gunner, the lovable star-folk Geno (who lends you tips on finding Power Stars), and the mysterious figure Ginger, a gray-haired woman who wants nothing but to help you. The worlds, with corresponding maiden, element, and Koopaling are as follows:
There are also many, many secret worlds. Tumble's Casino and Yoshi's Island are loaded with minigames, while Rainbow Road and Star Road challenge you with perplexing and difficult levels. There's also Gateway Galaxy, Warp Zone, Diamond City, and a few others to discover--so go at it!
Not to spoil the plot too much, but the gist of it goes that you ain't done till all the stars are collected. THEN you get to see what really happens. PM me for details, or just if enough of you request I'll post.
Also, secret characters? Peach, Toad, Geno, and Syrup. Peach is a weaker version of the brothers and can hover and guard herself with her parasol. Her special suit is the Monarch, where she wears armor and fights with a sword. Toad plays just like Mario 2, but can also collect the Golden Shroom to run up walls and be invincible. Geno plays sorta like Mega Man and Syrup sort of like Lady Sia or another game like that. Sparkster, maybe?

Super Mario Tactics
A strange force has appeared on the horizon, and it appears that it summons everyone to battle. As these new crystals appear all over the Mushroom Kingdom, everyone wonders what they could be for. And that's where you come in. A young and greenhorn human, you join the MK military looking for adventure. The Mario Bros. have disappeared, and with all these crystals cropping up the Princess wants you to help lead a faction of soldiers across the Mushroom World to search for the source of these strange objects. Entrusting your care to her retainer, Toad, the two of you traverse the lands amassing quite the army. Can your tactics come out victorious, and solve the mystery of the crystals?
This game works a like FFTactics Advance. Actually, a lot like it. There are multiple races, job classes, attacks, etc. and the system is arranged just like a FF Tactics game. Each unit has a race and job class, and by winning battles they gain EXP (to level up) and AP, which goes towards the equipment they are wearing. Most equipment will teach specific job classes unique skills and abilities, and AP is the way to learn them. Once you max AP in a skill (which you can use while the armor is equipped), you learn it permanently and make unequip it. And as you progress through classes, you unlock new ones and can share abilities. The possibilities thus become endless. A Knight who uses White Mage, or a Summoning Monk, or a Samurai who can use Dual Swords and X-Strike. Units are also unique in that they have their own names, genders, base stats, birthdays, and tastes. This gives them complete originality from others on the team.
The races are as follows:
There are also Yoshi mounts that increase movement and recruitable Subcons that will aid you in battle. Unlockable characters include Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser himself. Wait... what? Who's the villain then... *points to Sub Con ;p*
*Note: Going to add this stuff to DA soon, since I love drawing these races and job classes. It's so much fun!

Pokemon Gamma
Zeta Force has kidnapped the Prime Minister's daughter, and only you, Ace, can stop them. With the help of your trusted Pokemon, can you stop Zeta Force in time to save the Prime Minister's daughter? Can you prevent the awakening of the ancient and dreaded Pokemon Kaisers? ....And are you going to have enough ammo?
That's right, a Pokemon shooter! In the vein of Contra and Gunstar Heroes, this is a run and game game where you take control of Ace (or his partner, Juli) and start letting the fur fly. The levels are filled with badguys both human and Pokemon, and enough vehicles, powerups, and explosions to make everyone happy. You get four Pokemon at the your disposal: a flight Pokemon for flying levels; a land Pokemon for chase levels; and a shield Pokemon for heavy barrage levels. The fourth is chosen by you (the other three match your character--Ace gets Aerodactyl, Arcanine, and Shelgon) and counts as your "CommLink" to Gamma, the government agency you work for. Its powers vary from refilling ammo to healing you in times of need--it depends on what you pick.
The bosses are usually mechs or what are dubbed "Danger Pokemon," larger or more vicious versions of regular monsters. For example, the first boss is an Zeta soldier in a larger mech suit. Latter bosses may include a Zapdos gone mad or an enemy tank or a gigantic Dragonite or possibly even a swarm of blood-sucking Golbats. There's so many levels, the bosses and enemies are truly endless.
Each Campaign takes place in a different region, with a total of 7 Campaigns. Kanto is the easiest, followed by Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Zeta HQ. The final two are secret. And at the end of a Campaign, or at least just before, you come across the Pokemon Kaisers. As the plot reveals, the Zeta Force are attempting to awaken the most powerful of ancient Pokemon to lay ruin to the earth and, more importantly, world government. And so, each Campaign ends in a massive battle with the Pokemon Kaiser of that region. In Kanto it is Ho-Oh while in Hoenn it's Rayquaza. Smaller "Kaisers", known as Lords, appear throughout Campaigns as well and include Groudon, Darkrai, and others. In all, the Kaisers are: Ho-Oh, Lugia, Rayquaza (a fight as you fall through the sky), Dialga and Palkia, Regigigas, Giratina. Mewtwo is the final Kaiser you fight in the HQ, which makes Regigigas and Giratina the two secret ones. Nicer Pokemon Sovereigns also exist to aid you in your quest, one for each Kaiser: Ho-Oh (Golden), Celebi, Latios and Latias, Cresselia, Manaphy, Mew. Arceus appears at the full completion of the game to relish unlockables on you, including two new characters (an Ash look-alike and a cutesy little girl).
In all, it's meant to be a grittier, more mature Pokemon.

Pokemon: Sun and Moon Versions
Travel through the region of Surto, an island far away from the known regions, where the Pokemon are tougher and the trainers are meaner. My own version of the Pokemon games, I have over 160 new Pokemon, 8 gyms, an Elite Four, Champion, Legendaries, and loads of new features. Collect and grow mushrooms to create Mushloaf and alter your Pokemon's stats for the Island Mini-Games, or use good old-fashioned Berries to make PokeSlush for Pokemon Contests. Mine and purify ore and stones to customize your trainer with stat-altering jewelery, or stop by the island shops to deck them out with unique clothing and designs. And if you really feel like relaxing, buy property and develop it into your perfect dream house. Surto is a land of opportunity where you can play over Wi-Fi with up to 16 friends, all traveling the island together. Can you catch 'em all?
*Note: I am already beginning to update my DeviantArt page with stuff from this fan game, so keep an eye out!

Units are also unique in that they have their own names, genders, base stats, birthdays, and tastes. This gives them complete originality from others on the team.
The races are as follows:
- Toad -- basic mushroom-headed race. these are well-rounded units, capable of learning both Physical and Magic classes. their specialties include the Item Specialist and Paladin, but also the bare essentials like White Mage, Fighter, and Monk. the main character shares the same pool of abilities as a Toad, despite being Human
- Koopa -- a more magically-inclined race, these are available after the first battle or so to recruit. they specialize in classes such as the Oracle, Time Mage, and Magikoopa, but they also use some Physical classes like the Koopatrol and Dark Knight. well-balanced in some regards, but still more magical in the end.
- Squeek -- the speediest of races, also known as "Lil' Mousers." these guys specialize in cunning and cutthroat classes such as the Thief, Hunter, and Fencer classes. but they also utilize more unique and mixed classes like the Bard, Red Mage, and Green Mage. a nice race to have.
- Beanish -- these big guys join 1/4 through the game, specializing almost entirely in Physical. Fighter, Dragoon, Karateka, Gladiator... you name it. instead of magic, they use science to their advantage: Beanish can also become the Mad Chemist or Engineer classes.
- Shy Guy -- gotten when you enter Sub Con for the first time, right after you get Beanish. this race is strange in that it is genderless and their classes and abilities are random and quirky. very quirky. Dancer, Witch Doctor, Juggler, and Buccaneer are a few of the classes you get out of these guys.
- Bumpty -- the final race, small penguins who are not very intimidating but do pack a punch. another mixed race, they can become Gunners, Penguin Knights, Monks, Summoners, and even the almighty Herald (a class that can march other units outside of turn). all in all a very useful race, albeit unassuming.
There are also Yoshi mounts that increase movement and recruitable Subcons that will aid you in battle. Unlockable characters include Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser himself. Wait... what? Who's the villain then... *points to Sub Con ;p*
