Since it's "Twisted" then... yea, it's Japanese.
‚Í‚½‚³‚傤‚³‚ñ@where the laying boy wears a T-shirt with a Mishroom / Fire Flower / Power Star on it ƒRƒ“ƒ^ƒNƒgƒŒƒ“ƒY with hummed Mario Theme and Mario growing sound when pressing A. ‚¶‚ñ‚é‚¢‚Ì‚µ‚ñ‚© where the only sound effect is the Mario growing sound. ƒgƒCƒŒ‚Ü‚· - then the perrson goes into the toilet, you should hear some Mario coin grabbing sound (Should be the exact one from Mario Kart Super Circuit which is also an Intellegent Systems game)
It's possible that I mistyped the name. I just copy them down and do not know its meaning.
Also in one of Warioman's game you have to shake hand with Mario.
EDIT: Sorry but all the Japanese characters I typed are messing up here. EDIT AGAIN If you view this page with SJIS code then it's okay.

In Japanese Polarium puzzles 91, 96, 98 it seems to be Mario references and puzzle 95 looks like the warp point in Zelda Minish Cap. Whether they appear the same as EU version or not is unknown. I'm assuming they're the same, seeing as I KINDA see what you mean. 91 does look a little bit like a Fire Flower, 96 does look a little bit like a Koopa Troopa, and 98 looks like... well... I'm not sure. Could be an ugly guy with a long nose (that looks nothing like Mario)... could be a mallet... either way, I'm not convinced it's a cameo. 95 is just a repeating pattern. I think it's wishful thinking to see it as anything else (well, actually it could be a ninja star!) Don't forget, one of the puzzles is of a Game Boy!

Fryguy: You don't think 98 LOOKS LIKE mARIO, EH? *Disables Caps Lock* Well that's fine. can you tell me what can you see for Puzzle 100? I can see Katakana "Hitofude".
greatlink: Thanks.

Still looks more like a mallet. A mallet with an eye. It doesn't even have a tash!
Didn't look at no. 100 properly. I'll have to try again (it looked like a weird shape, so I expect the pattern is the same and I was just being blind).
Still... it's looking like Polarium might get some kind of cameos page at this rate... Game Boy, Fire Flower (or maybe just a flower), Koopa Troopa (or is it just a turtle?), Nintendo Japanese logo referenced throughout the Japanese manual... that's enough for me!
Thanks Great Link. Hey, and let me know when you're site's up and running and I'll slap a link on to you (maybe even affiliate).

Fryguy: The "Koopa Troopa" in puzzle 96 seems like the "shellcreeper" in the original Mario Bros. Greatlink: The Wario-Man game is ‚È‚©‚È‚¨‚è (once again view it in SJIS encoding), and I already found a screenshot. Click here for the screenshot

Even more cameos for WarioWare: Twisted! (That game is CRAZY!)
In the sovenir mode, one of the categories is "records". 5 of the records are taken from Famicom/NES games. "Super Mario Bros" - main theme "Metroid" "Balloon Fight" - Balloon Trip music "Wrecking Crew" "Kid Icarus" - title screen music
One of the minigames is called "Wario Bike". It features Wario riding on a motorbike on an Excite Bike stage with Mario-themed enemies (They are not original Mario enemies, though.) on the stage.
Another minigame is "Homerun". Some may call it a "Baseball" refrence, although I don't think so.
7 more cameos for WarioWare: Twisted!, and I hope this covers all of the cameos that are not listed in the cameo page at the moment.

Am I imagining it, or was one of the minigames based on Metroid, but starring a badly drawn cat with a gun for an arm... called "Mewtroid" or something?
I saw that on the official website somewhere a while ago

I think "neko" means "cat" or something...

I've got a licensed cameo for ya that I thought you knew about already. Anyway, in Viwetiful Joe, if you leave Joe alone while he's holding a bomb he'll whistle the Super Mario Bros. theme.
