What program do you use to draw the artwork for the characters? EDIT: Heh, with this message, I just made this thread a VERY hot thread

I pencile and ink them on paper, scan them in and colour them in Adobe Photoshop. Excellent little paint package. And I also recently found out... the hero of Nazo no Murasamejou is called Takamaru. Well there you go!

Yeah I also use Photoshop, very handy program. So, now you know his name, are you gonna add him to the Nintendo Stars section too?

I intend to add him as well as a number of Fire Emblem heroes. Before I do though, I'm going to brush up on my human-drawing skills

Takamaru, huh.
I vote for Takamaru to be in the next SSB!
Well, after Pit of course.

By the way, what is Nazo no murasamejou's story? All I know from playing the game is that this Takamaru is trying collect some orbs, and, well, that's it.

You're in luck... I did a rough translation of the story I found whilst browsing (note: this is not an exact translation, but is good enough):
During the Edo era, in a district ruled by General Tokugawa, there was a great castle surrounded by four villages. In the castle, a giant stone head known as Murasame was worshipped by the people of the villages. One night a terrible storm tore through the sky and a bolt of lightning hit the castle. The stone face of Murasame came to life!
Using his magical call, Murasame gained control over all living things in the four castle villages. He passed four mysterious orbs to the leaders of the four villages and with them they began to riot. With the threat of a rebellion looming, the only hope for the shogunate was to secretly send a warrior into the castle. They selected a young swordsman, fresh from training and eager to prove himself. His name was Takamaru.
However, Murasame wasn't blind to this "secret", and instantly sent out an army of monsters. Takamary must walk the roads between the four castle towns, gather the orbs, and defeat Murasame in the castle.

Fryguy, I was wondering if you knew the name of the hero from "Kaeru no Tame ni Kane ha Naru"?

On Nintendo's Japanese website he is just listed as a "prince" (so presumably YOU are supposed to be the hero... and probably why Richard was chosen as the cameo)... but I'm sure I read that he had a name on another Japanese website. I'll try and find out... I don't even know if this computer has a Japanese font though

You forgot Fighter Hayabusa from Pro Wrestling!

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten the Pro Wrestling characters. I decided to leave them off that list, as they're not really game heroes... and as you can choose to be any of the characters, no one is specifically the player character.
But they will be included in due time. They are, after all, an interesting bunch of weirdoes.

Yep, and I added them to the Nintendo DS game list last night, along with Magical Vacation 2 and Project JSS (whatever that turns out to be). Aside from the fact that Gonbe/Munchlax will be in it (baby Snorlax), there's not much else we know about Diamond/Pearl at the moment. And thanks. I was especially pleased with the Link
