Um, why? This is the first Sonic game to show promise since Sonic Adventure, so please don't troll and tell us why you're "oh please"ing.

He's probably just posting for the hell of it, like he always does.

Yeah, this game looks fucking awesome. The first DS game I'll buy since Phantom Hourglass.

Still, Sonic's the 'fastest thing alive', the only thing he has going is running really fast. For him to hold position and wait his turn so he can roll into an enemy just seems... weird.
And since it's an RPG it obviously focuses on the story so I just hope they fired the 13 year old who wrote the previous shitty scripts.
And why is Big the Cat universally hated again?

And why is Big the Cat universally hated again? I love Big! He was so awesome in Sonic Adventure. He wasn't a main character in the plot, but helped the story dramatically. Come to think of it...I loved all the characters in Sonic Adventure! Would anyone recommend I get Sonic Adventure DX?

Only played the DX version so I don't know about any big differences other then the characters being super duper shiney.
But checking out wikipedia the DX one has a mission mode (which I hardly touched) plus a bunch of old unlockable Sonic games including that Tails Airplane game. So if you want to do Sonic Adv. challenges, go nuts.

DX has improved graphics, a new mission mode, the entire library of Sonic Game Gear games, and the ability to play through Sonic's stages as Metal Sonic. If that stuff interests you, it's worth getting. If not... then not really. It's slightly glitchier than it's Dreamcast counterpart. Personally, the Game Gear games sold it to me. I never had one of those things.

And weirdly, the audio on the Gamecube is worse. In fact, Sega was pretty crap with sound on all their Gamecube games

I actually like the graphics and control on the Dreamcast better.

I do prefer the character models in the Dreamcast version, I must say.

Well, I mean, a lot of the problems from the Dreamcast version hadn't even been addressed in the GCN port. What got me into it was getting to play as Metal Sonic (he really handles differently from Sonic, noticeably faster with worse acceleration and handling), but the challenge mode was too difficult, so I had to use an Action Replay to get him. I personally prefer the DC version, though...but maybe that's just so I can justify still having my Dreamcast plugged in beyond just Jet Grind Radio and Power Stone 2.

I didn't find the challenge mode particularly difficult, though the only challenges I remember were stupid things like "Put the burger shop statue in the lake" or "Find a balloon in Mystic Ruins". Some of the emblems were tough to get, though. I never bothered with them in the DC version, since you didn't get anything for it.

Oh right, I forgot about that. I actually like Omega a lot. Homicidal robots are always fun.
Who doubted Shade being playable? I know I didn't.
