This hasn't been mentioned yet but this game has Wi-Fi connection for trading Chao creatures that can be equiped as stat modifiers or placed in Tamagotchi-like Chao garden.

He must be some sort of "create-a-character", like you'd usually find in a Bioware game. I can't imagine Amy's new boyfriend being playable if he was thought up by the Bioware team.

New Website is up. And the dudes at Sonic Stadium have ripped a crap-load of new info from the site data.

Such as...? Come on, dude, be a little more contributory than that. Maybe at least provide a link to that other website.

Looks like there is a partial confirmation of Sonic Chronicles 2 could actually happen as Bioware is writing the story for the next game. Source.I know there is the excitement/worry about Sonic Unleashed now but did anyone here buy Sonic Chronicles? (It did get quite a few mixed view from reviewers).

I bought it. It's, uh... well, it's terrible, to be blunt. By far the worst game in the series, with extremely dull gameplay, enemies that jump up to higher levels far too abruptly with no option to go back and fight weaker ones, extremely corny and repetitive dialogue, bland-as-hell characters, terrible, TERRIBLE music, poor art (I could do better, and I have virtually no self-confidence when it comes to artwork), badly animated flash cutscenes, and the story... well, I lost interest when it started being about going into space and travelling from planet to planet fighting each one's elemental inhabitant. Boring.
Haven't seen the ending, but from what I've heard it actually contains the characters breaking the fourth wall to tell you to buy the sequel to find out if Eggman killed them all or not. Coupled with the fact that the game constantly advertised BioWare's website during battles and with on-screen popups... I felt like I was playing a minigame on a website. Not worth full price for a DS game. Not worth half price.

...Your tastes must be the exact opposite of most of the Sonic fanbase, because everywhere I looked people loved it.

Yeah, I know. I think it's crazy. The game... doesn't feel finished. It feels like a bad fangame, and I'm extremely disappointed in BioWare for it.
The way it was received by the majority of the fans cemented my opinion that the fanbase is primarily made up of sheep who believe what they're told to believe. I honestly can't see how the game can be considered great, no matter which angle I look at it from. Sonic '06 was shit, but it at least felt more polished than Chronicles.

Yeah, everything I've heard about this game is terrible. Seems it was geared more towards children storywise, but the battles are apparently long and there are a lot of them.

Actually, now that I think of it, the people I mentioned earlier didn't really think the game was entirely great. They appreciated certain things about it, but they all seemed to agree that the game was a big rush job and some things about it definitely need to be fixed in the sequel.
Can't blame 'em for liking some of it though, given that BioWare showed more respect to the Sonic brand than Sega has in recent years. Not to mention a Sonic RPG really does hold a lot of potential.

I didn't think they showed all that much respect to the series, to be honest. They talked about how they were revisiting old places, but Green Hill aside, the only thing any of the places have in common with places from old games is their names. Then we have hand-sized Master Emerald, a complete rewrite of Sonic Battle's backstory, and Omega acting completely out of character for the purposes of turning him into an HK-47 parody.
No sir, I didn't like it.
