Donkey Kong looks perfect!
And that's a cool 15-second movie, because it made us see in action many of the features that were shown in the previous weeks. I wonder if there will be more trailers soon anyway.

Yeah, it's not THAT bad. Compared to the other trailers which load at the speed of wet ass (but they are 2:30+...)

It was still terrible. Was paused and everything but took forever to load. The internet was probobly the culpret but it's easier to blame the website.

I would blame the millions of Smash fans trying to watch the only glimmer of moving footage we've had since November 06. That would cause some slowdown! DK looks excellent, although there's something weird about his face that I can't put my finger on. I hope they keep his crazy teeth. That's one design decision made since Rare left that I approve of - tying together the classic and modern versions  EDIT: See what I mean about Sakurai's hand-designers not being great?  |

Yeah, DK's head has been bothering me, too. Like I said, his snout/muzzle/whatever those are called looks more elongated, but his lips also look more pronounced. It's all the subtle differences that are strange.
But I'd better stop here because I don't want to wind up sounding like a DKVine forum-goer. XD Those people are crazy--and probably wetting themselves still over the screenshots.

I totally agree with you though!! Everyone says he looks great - sure he's all hairy and stuff, but there's just something wrong with his head!! ;D

DK's also got a tan going on, not just that weird fat-lip thing. He looks great, but very... stocky, and odd. I'll prolly stop noticing once I play the game, but for now, I wanna complain ;p

Damn you Fry for ppointing out those odd hands. I do like the "hairyness" of DK.
Sadly, this is the last update I'll see for a while. I'm going on vacation tomarrow and that means no updates. But, I get some when I come back.

But You have to wonder whats up with Wario's Mouth in this picture. I think Wario's massive jaw acts as a "limb" here; because his mouth is exaggurated more than most characters' (and Wario is supposed to be eccentric within the bounds of SSBB), the fact that his jaw unhinges when he goes flying kind of makes sense. And it's also very funny and makes up a lot of the best Wario screenshots. |
