All non-clone characters should return, in my opinion.

Krystal is one of the most popular StarFox characters <_<
And I agree about the AC thing, I actually hope Tom Nook is in. He would be so funny. Especially if emotes would be his taunts (I just love the anger emote).

Krystal is one of the most popular StarFox characters <_< For furry hentai lovers, maybe. And regardless, why do we need more StarFox characters? Two is plenty for a series of, what, 5-or-so games, in which you, as I have mentioned, don't actual directly control the characters themselves (save for two games - one of which was a different game with Fox plugged into it, and another of which wasn't very popular or generally regarded as any good). How about they save the spots for characters that come from non-represented games that have the potential for interesting movesets - Jill from Drill Dozer springs to mind as a potentially awesome character, rather than background characters of franchises that are already represented enough.

That is my opinion also. There are loads of untapped franchises to pick from with a lot more promise than the wealth of secondary characters with little new to offer.
Drill Dozer is one excellent example. Nazo no Murasamejou, Joy Mecha Fight... ahh, you've heard my ramblings on this already.

Jill FTW. Now that Animel Crossing is such a widely know franchise know I wouldn't doubt an AC character in Brawl. Its even getting an animateed movie for christ sake. It would be either Nook or the Human Character.

Its even getting an animateed movie for christ sake. You serious?! Where did you hear this? Edit: Googled...Amazing. Melee had kind of a crapload of Mario characters, though. The amount of characters from other series may be quite big, but nowhere near the Mario roster anyhow. And frankly, Tom Nook is my favorite character in the series, so maybe he'd work in there. Possibly KK Slider to boot. And don't forget, it sure needs a little more female characters.

Haha! You should have mentioned this in its own topic. The Animal Crossing movie looks like good stuff. Hope it gets translated!

But StarFox is one of Nintendo's most popular series.
Plus, Krystal would be the most unique of all the characters, because she doesn't use science fictiony stuff.
AC is getting a movie? WTF?!

But StarFox is one of Nintendo's most popular series. Correction. The original StarFox and StarFox 64 were two of Nintendo's most popular games. The series as a whole is somewhere down near Earthbound and Excitebike. And I don't mean to sound brash... but of the four StarFox games released so far, Krystal has only appeared in two (Adventures and Assault - and both performed pretty badly in terms of sales). If I had a scale of character popularity, she would be somewhere down near Toadette. She would perform better on a scale of SSBB viability, but still way below any other SF character. Hell, I'd rather play as Leon the gay chameleon, for crying out loud! ;D

Not true. Krystal is one of the top Starfox characters and one of the most popular of the franchise. She and Wolf are the most wanted from this franchise. Also I do think the franchise is a little better then you said. It one of Nintendos medium franchises, one that is liked but dosn't recive attention like the tops. Its probobly there with F-Zero and Kirby in terms of being liked. Also keep in mind that if a Franchise has 2 good game of the caliber of Starfox and Starfox 64 then it does balance out the other 2 washes. I seriously doubt it down with Earthbound and Excite Bike. Heres how I put them
Top-Cash cows. Very popular and recive high praise(exxcept maybe Pokemon) Mario Zelda Pokemon
High-Popular. Games sell well and usually recive high praise Metroid Donkey Kong Fire Emblem
Medium-Somewhat popular. Games apper atlleast one every system cycle Kirby Starfox F-Zero
Low-Rarly seen, but they have fans, and still recive attention Pikmin Panel de Pon Earthbound
Im missing alot of franchises. With the exception of Advance Wars and Smash Bros(which I think is top) all others are bottom franchises or are too new to put anywhere(like Drill Dozer and Chibi-Robo)
You cant say that Starfox is a low franchise for Nintendo. In fact it was featured in Nintendo Monopoly where pokemon wasn't(also note all franchises medium or higher were in that game except Pokemon and Fire Emblem since it not as popular in the west). It is below Kirby due to some lesser game in the franchise but it definatly isn't low. Also dont think 2 games make it down with Earthbound(no offense to earthbound). If that was true, Pokemon would be in the ground.
Now I would like to see a Starfox character, but I want it to be Slippy. Hes goffy and he could have strange stats. He'd be somewhat heavy and have a good jump. Plus he could smash foes with a giant wrench and use some kind of crazy gadget.

Changing the topic slightly: I may have spotted another clue to the identity of the "grassy floating island" stage!
Upon watching it big screen (free DVD with a games mag) I noticed that when the camera pulls away from Snake-in-box, you see a glimpse of a round patio-thing to one side of his box. It could have been my imagination, but I think I spotted a pattern/logo on it!! Need to check this again!
P.S. Animal Crossing movie!?! I'm just off to scour the internet for this! You'd better not be pulling my leg...

www.doubutsunomori-movie.jp/index.htmlThere... now everyone can find it. I'd say Kirby is more popular than StarFox. The pink puffball really belongs in the second group alongside Donkey Kong. Other than that, I largely agree with your list, but I still don't agree about Krystal. Remember, I'm looking at this from a wider picture. Sure... StarFox fans might really want Krystal in there, but everyone else doesn't give a damn. I wish she'd never been invented. There, I said it ;D

StarFox Adventures and StarFox Assault performed badly in sales? Aren't they Player's Choice?

StarFox Adventures and StarFox Assault performed badly in sales? Aren't they Player's Choice? Players' Choice doesn't really mean anything except that Nintendo wants to officially relaunch the games at a budget price (because they're tightwads as far as reducing game prices goes). It's supposed to mean a million-seller... but is that regionally? Worldwide? The American million or the European million? Does it even need to have sold that many to get a crappy box and a budget price tag?

It's supposed to mean a million-seller... but is that regionally? Worldwide? The American million or the European million? Does it even need to have sold that many to get a crappy box and a budget price tag? The misconception that Player's Choice means million seller comes from the fact that it used to mean million seller (at least, in the US). I believe all Player's Choice titles on the SNES, Game Boy and N64 were million sellers, as indicated on the packaging. But on the Gamecube, that doesn't seem to be the policy anymore, probably due to the lower sales of the games. However, fans still incorrectly think it means million seller. Just Check the packages. They no longer say "million seller." Boy am I tired of typing "million seller!"
