Where the hell have we pulled this idea that its either Mr Game & Watch OR a Mii from? Theres no reason whatsoever they can't both be in there at the same time, and I don't know why anyone would think they couldn't. Hey, I'm just going with the flow dude.

Give Mr. G&W a cap, eyes and teeth and we have a deal. Eyes and teeth would be cool, but I don't like the idea of a hat all the time. Which hat would he use? How about multiple costumes, default being no hat, and then several choices each with different hats. Actually, their faces could also change to match the characters from the different G&W game. ...A Fire Attack stage should be in SSB.

See, I presented a similar idea about alternate costumes a few pages back XD

Mr Game&Watch DOES NOT need teeth, eyes or a cap. In none of the G&W games is the hero seen wearing anything (except Helmet and Octopus).

You are wrong, Sqrt. Plain wrong. In fact, you are so wrong, I will prove it.
In Flagman, the Flagman is wearing a pirate costume. In Fire the players are wearing fireman helmets. In Helmet (as you said) the player is wearing a helmet. In Lion, the player characters wear zookeeper hats. In Octopus the player wears a diver helmet. In Chef you wear a chef's apron and hat. In Egg you're a wolf wearing ragged shorts. In Fire Attack you are wearing a full cowboy outfit. In Oil Panic you're wearing a cap. In Greenhouse you're wearing a white cap, boots and gloves. Squish stars Ziggy - a blob wearing a hat. In Bomb Sweeper you're John Solver, with shiny helmet. In Safe Buster, you're a fully-dressed policeman. In Goldcliff you're a fully-dressed archeologist. In Tropical Fish you're a fully-dressed character. In Climber you play as Climber, with boots and headphones. In Balloon Fight you play as Balloon Man, fully-clothed. In Boxing you are dressed as... boxers!
And nearly all of them have eyes and a mouth, some have longer faces or different expressions. They are all supposed to be different characters.
Not to mention the fact that Mario, DK, DK Junior, Link, Popeye, Mickey Mouse, Snoopy... they're all there too.
And I don't want to get started on the versions of the game with official artwork, where all of the characters are portrayed as fully-dressed and distinct from one another.
If Mr. Game & Watch's design is based on any character from the Game & Watch games, it's certainly not any of the playable ones.

Who really cares though?
Mr Game & Watch represents all the Game and Watch games, so he needs a generic design that can represent them all, and, personally, I think the design looks alot better without teeth or eyes. You can disagree with that last part, but I'm sure the developers probably tried a number of different looks for him and found that one to be the best.
Just seems to me like you're being way too pedantic about this.

Personally, I think it would be cool if the characters from Mortal Kombat were in the game.

Personally, I think it would be cool if the characters from Mortal Kombat were in the game. ...I really hope not. Street Fighter, maybe. But not Mortal Kombat. About Mr. Game & Watch (I realise this is a couple months too late) I had just figured they'd taken the basic idea of the Game & Watch characters and done an updated redesign like they did with Pit. I actually think Mr. Game & Watch looks much better than most of the old G&W characters (aside from the one from Manhole. That guy was awesome.) EDIT: I see that I wasn't the first to mention that. That'll teach me to post without reading back a few pages first. Sorry.

Well, while the post is bumped, at least...
Having gotten a Wii and made two of my own Miis, I honestly can't see a Mii fitting into SSBB. They're avatars more than anything else...even for games that are compatible with Miis (like Wii Sports), you don't necessarily need to use your Mii. It's most likely not going to happen, although I don't doubt there being a Mii "trophy" of some sort.

Besides, I can't really think of what moves a Mii moveset would consist of. Let alone their 'special power'.

I imagine Mii's looks would be a lot like Peach's if he got in.Golf clubs, tennis racquets, baseball bats, ect.
B - Mii throws a baseball at opponents B V - Mii creates a shockwave with a drum (Wii Orchestra) B > - Mii takes out a bowling ball to throw at some one. B ^ - Mii does a jumping jack (Wii Fitness)
Taunt - Mii conducts a few strands of the stages music.

His taunt could be one of the poses when you first make a new one.

I stil think a Mii would make a better trophy than anything.
