OBJECTION!!!Also, I'm wondering if there will be a character tomarrow. Pokemon Trainer was called, but it's just a lucky guess if there is no character tomarrow. I'm guessing in order for that thing to be right, Icce Climbers would have to be tomarrow. Proves that two franchise are returning. It's most likely Peach...probably...maybe?

I don't care what it is so long as it's INTERESTING. X( The last two days have been kind of a letdown, and The Devil assist trophy doesn't do anything for me.

Although I like to see original characters in Brawl, I think that Sakurai has definately gone OTT with this one.
Also, I guess this means Charizard will be left out of the pokeball pokemon. Which is a shame!

Which is a shame! Oh come fucking on! XD You get Charizard as a playable character and all you can do is complain that it's over the top and whine that Charizard won't be in a Pokéball? For Christ's sake, dude! Cheer the fuck up! Don't make me call the waaaaaaahmbulance X(

At this point I might seem like I'm stubborn and making a big deal about the name of this character. I have to admit, this is a change of paradigm nearly as big as the one caused by Solid Snake being announced for SSBB. But still, what do you all think of the idea of a "Pokémon Rival"? That would be pretty symmetric: - Pokémon battles are generally made of one Trainer vs. one Trainer
- Red is a symbol of every Pokémon Trainer, and Blue is a symbol of every Rival
- The names of their anime counterparts come from two important Nintendo people
What I'm mentioning doesn't mean I don't like independent Pokémon anymore... In fact I do, especially if those Pokémon species are innovative enough to set new standards in the Super Smash Bros. series.

Last night I had a dream in which I was trying to come up with another idea for a Pokemon Trainer character.
First I thought of Pokemon Rival, but I couldn't decide which Pokemon he should have. Then I thought that maybe the guy from Pokemon Colosseum should be inm, and his Pokemon could be an Espeon and and Umbreon, but I couldn't think of what significance those Pokemon have.

I had a much better dream. It involved twins.

At this point all I really want is some fresh representation in the Pokémon franchise. Red is a great concept here--but take into account that Jigglypuff will probably be back and there's a great demand for Mewtwo's return as well, the first generation is really top-heavy at this point. I'm kind of hoping that we'll get stuff from the other Generations, especially now that Sakurai's basically open the floodgates to common Pokémon we never would have thought possible beforehand thanks to the Pokémon Trainer. How sweet would a variation of the concept be of a character that uses Munchlax, Toxicroak and Electivire? I know I'd hit that.

Playing as Pokemon against Pokemon is SSBB will be like how I always envisioned Pokemon Stadium should've been. Actual fighting.

Part of me thinks that Munchlax might've replaced Jigglypuff as the "adorable popular normal type". Lukario also has a good shot. It's a friggin' fighting type for cripe's sake.

Then I thought that maybe the guy from Pokemon Colosseum should be inm, and his Pokemon could be an Espeon and and Umbreon, but I couldn't think of what significance those Pokemon have. ^_^ Hehe, maybe you mixed up things in your dream and your subconscious vaguely remembered that Blue / Gary has had "eeveelutions" in his party from the games and other media. If Blue appeared, he'd probably have Blastoise (although somewhat repetitive when looking at Squirtle), and/or Eevee. A third one could be a recurrent medium-weight Pokémon from his teams... Alakazam, to avoid Uri Geller similarities? As a cultural note, Kadabra is heavier than Alakazam. At this point all I really want is some fresh representation in the Pokémon franchise. Red is a great concept here--but take into account that Jigglypuff will probably be back and there's a great demand for Mewtwo's return as well, the first generation is really top-heavy at this point. How sweet would a variation of the concept be of a character that uses Munchlax, Toxicroak and Electivire? I know I'd hit that. IMO, Lucario could be good as a character of its own... Munchlax would, too, unless it's Pearl's Munchlax or the Munchlax of another existing character. Another interesting thing would be a Trainer that specializes in Double Battles. However, right now I don't know any major character who has them, and I mean one who could deserve another name besides "Pokémon Trainer". Wes from Robbypants' dream would be one that has two Pokémon, but I don't think he's as important as Blue or modern protagonists of the games.
