Petey Piranha looks more like a boss than a playable character, because he looks larger than anyone else seen in the video. Perhaps Ridley would also be a boss, due to the arranged Ridley battle theme being in SSBB + many people want him in SSBB. Even though, size doesn't matter, it not always does, because if Pikachu was made larger than anyone else without using Super Mushrooms, then that would be awful.

It's like Kingdom Hearts, but with decent characters instead of the one-dimensional FF puke running all over the place. Which makes it better by around a million pounds.  Because quality is measured in weight. |

Are you saying the Kingdom Hearts (and by extension, Brawl) stories are stupid, or that it's stupid that Brawl copied Kingdom Heart's story to some degree? They are quite similar stories, but I don't see why that's a bad thing. Kingdom Hearts is a huge Action-RPG series with a massive fanbase and a very popular storyline. To have a storyline with some depth in a 2D platform/fighting game is practically unheard of. And the fact Nintendo characters galore are mixed in just makes it better. Anyway... About the video: This video is suggesting to me that there are unplayable boss characters. Somehow I doubt that Petey is playable, but perhaps some bosses appear as Assists (like legendary Pokes) after being defeated in the storyline. That would also fit the background story - defeating the minibosses turns them into trophies... a fate worse than death!! Something tells me this is Mario's intro. He's knocked away from the Smash Stadium before it is pulled into Subspace by the bomb, so he's got to find his way onto the Halberd. Peach and Zelda both get kidnapped, so something tells me if you want to play as them, the intro will pan out differently... OR you play levels in a different order, perhaps! What if you play as a villain? Question Time... Do you think there will be one boss per represented series? Will there be a different set of videos for each character you play as? Or do you think the storyline is fixed, and you will find more characters as you play through the game? We're going to have to mush together everything we know so far. |

I'm thinking its all one story, with choices effecting which order the levels are played in (and in some cases, levels may be dropped). So level 1 is a timed introductory boss battle against Petey as Kirby, level 2 deals with Mario when he lands, and then there might be some sort of choice which will affect what you do next.
I can't see them making movies like that for each individual character. I could certainly be wrong, though.
As for bosses, I doubt one-per-series is the go: Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, and probably Kirby will get a couple, most will get one, some will most likely get none - Animal Crossing, and Wario, even (since he is WarioWare themed) really have nobody worth using.
As a side thought, if Mewtwo loses playable status (I doubt it, personally, but maybe) he will absolutely definitely be a boss. And that could quite possibly be more awesome if they make him a big, scary, threatening looking guy.
EDIT: Also, I'm interested to see how these boss characters (if thats what they really are) are different to regular characters - if they are fairly similar it'll end up disappointing that they weren't just modified slightly to be playable.

Ugh, Petey is just plain gross. Vomiting plant in diapers. Definitely not playable, but a strong incentive to beat the Subespace Emissary many, many times: To kick this genetical failure's ass.
Have anyone thought about the name "Primids"? Is like they are very very old race. I'm betting they were outcasted of the Smash world and they're trying to get it back to their place with these dimensional bombs. It screams Twilight race to me.

Well, Ancient Minister is 1,000´000 times better than the Hearthless leaders in KH (And I keep all my fingers crossed so SSBB doesn't have original Emo antagonists like KH, but knowing Sakurai previous series (Kirby, Smash and Meteos) I highly doubt that will happen) ¡Petey Piranha and ROB!Now this game only needs Tingle and Flint to be perfect |
