This is the first time I have seen people hate on KH because of th FF part of the game. Normally people hate the Disney aspect. Love it or hate it, you can't deny that Disney are the most important name in Western animation. Personally I love it. I don't hate Final Fantasy... it's just that KH uses all the most cliché and boring characters from the series (Cloud, Squall, Aerith) and neglects all the actually good ones (Cait Sith, Zidane, characters from before FF7).

I don´t Have a problem with either Disney (you cant deny how awesome stuff like Gargoyles, The Emperor new grove, Lilo & Stich or Ducktales are, Nightmare Before Christmas is to overrated wich is a shame, as before KH, it was my favorite movie) or FF (even if some of its characters are Overrated) but some of KH original Characters specially the ones introduced in KH 2 and Chain of Memories are the ones that I cant bear.
KH had a great premise, but KH 2 ruined it for me (to emo and metaphorical for my taste)

Wow, both forums I go to have gotten off on a KH tangent lately. Creepy.
I don't like Kingdom Hearts. At all. But to each their own. ^_^

EDIT: what is FMV? And I hope it has subtitles in addition to voice-acting for the hearing impaired SSB fans like myself. As far as Nintendo games go, I seriously doubt very highly that it would have voice acting. They'll have text. Like almost every other Nintendo game.

Brawl is breaking pretty much every 'tradition' Nintendo has had going - I think voice acting is definitely a go here.

Quite good. Quite good. Petey really does look like a formidable foe here, instead of a figure of fun like usual. That's quite an achievement! *Wonders who's really under the Ancient Minister's cloak* I'm not too familiar with Petey. I was wondering: is that cannon ball he spit out at Mario (you can tell it's him spitting it if you look at the smoke frame by frame) an attack of his from previous games he's been in? Also, as far as the secret identity of the Ancient Minister...I don't know if this is so painfully obvious to the rest of you that you're choosing not to speculate on the subject, but here's my theory: I got to thinking: What is the connection of the Subspace Army to the Halberd? Then I noticed that the Minister's eyes looked very familiar to me... ...META KNIGHT!!! He's gotta be a pawn in this whole operation though. I think he's under the control of someone else...

Well, I'm guessing the reason his eyes look like Meta Knight's is because, Sakurai is the creator of the Kirby games as well as SSB series.
Also, Meta Knight is bigger.
Not puttin' you down or anything like that but...

Petey Piranha's such a stupid character though, there are much more interesting choices yet we get the dumb Piranha Plant. I know Mario fans that hate him, non-Mario fans who don't care yet hate him, anything. He does look scary, you can see the saliva in his mouth and clearly this is a Smash Bros style... Although some game series keep the models and styles Smash Bros presents them (Kirby, Pokemon, and I imagine classic games. Zelda does in this one)
Mario can talk, in outside game things and even some games Charles Martinet will do the Talk to Mario thing and basically be Mario. Gives him a personality that seems to fit and it's the one we've gotten hints of in the games Mario talks in (Mario vs DK, M&L, Teaches Typing) and I don't care what you think, Martinet IS his characters. He portrays them effortlessly and is each one of them, whether it's the Mario Brothers or Wario siblings. Link has a decent amount of a voice in TP, he doesn't speak in-game but assumed. Samus talks in text... and I'm hoping she'll say "See You Next Mission!" in Corruption with Jennifer Hale's lovely voice.

Where to begin...
"Everyone, everywhere, is beginning to move against it."
This could mean that Petey and so on can actually be good guys (merely possessed by the Primid) and would try their best to resist their invasion.
Kirby Super Star-style helpers, for one. As in, the Assist Trophies having a greater role in this mode only rather than just quick attack deals.
While we're at it, I still think Nintendo x Disney would be the better crossover than with those cliché FF losers and rather emo antagonists (just look at them). Disney's cast is just as colorful as Nintendo's anyway.

But rather than just thrash on the poor Piranha Plant, why not make a suggestion of your own? Add to the fun of this discussion. The thing about Martinet--I agree with you, he plays his characters very well. But those non-game meetings where he does full dialogue with Mario are precisely that: non-games meetings. Has no pull one way or another on the game series where Mario has been mute since the beginning. Aside from some grunts and a few words uttered here and there, the most he's probably ever spoken in one string are probably in Mario Vs. Donkey Kong's opening movie, or the end of Super Mario 64 ("Thank you so much-a forto playing-a my game-a!") Even Mario Baseball has him speaking in elipses where all the other captains have dialogue. Of course it's assumed that mute characters speak, otherwise they would be unable to communicate. That's not what matters in this case, though; what matters is that, assumed or not, you just don't hear or see it happen. As Charles Martinet himself once put it, the less a character speaks (in his case Mario), the more magic there is to it. And since he's the man behind the voice for a lot of Mario characters--and has a hefty number of other voice acting roles under his belt--I figure the man knows what he's talking about. So voice acting doesn't seem like that far of a stretch for me, but I don't think we'll hear it from traditionally mute characters. Peach, Bowser, Zelda, Wario, Snake--I see them all with speaking roles. But Mario, Link, Pokémon Trainer, Kirby...they'll probably stay silent.

Voice acting seems almost a given. Melee had it with the Star Fox dialogues.
And more than that, I would think the conversation with Snake at the end of the first Brawl trailer would be enough confirmation for voice acting, don't you think?

And more than that, I would think the conversation with Snake at the end of the first Brawl trailer would be enough confirmation for voice acting, don't you think? Well, the Metal Gear Solid games always have voice acting. The traditional Nintendo games...not so much. That would make me actually not want the game if they gave Mario speaking roles. Bowser may have speaking roles, but if they actually have him talking, I will be seriously be turned off. Bowser is not meant to talk aside from his Growr's and Bwahahaha's. The thing about Nintendo characters is that the less they speak, the better. Mario and Luigi perfected it by having a character give off a specific sound effect to each area of conversation. And whenever Mario talked, they would have him speak in a short burst of gibberish. Link, Mario, Kirby, and all of those characters have been mutes since the beginning, and I do not expect Nintendo to change that. Furthermore, why hate on Petey Piranha? He is such an awesome looking character! His roles in Mario games aren't what I would call...prominent...so why treat him as such? He's a boss. Live with it.

I just noticed the Ancient Minister doesn't have any hands.
Coincidence?
