The big issue is that Lucas's game wasn't translated to the language of many of Ness's fans, unlike the Twilight Princess vs. OoT... That's why many would "cry" for the loss of Ness, especially because the previous game did appear in English, and the announcement of MOTHER 3 has been anticipated by both Japan and America since it was being planned for N64.

Oh, I see.. so Ness's fans are crying over the loss of Ness because Lucas's game is in Japanese? Okay, then there's no reason to cry over the possible loss of Marth and Roy in Brawl since their games were only in Japanese so them being replaced by another Japan-only character like Sigurd should be fine.

You know how there are some people that just complain about the littlest things, and blow stuff out of proportion. That's DKVine, only they're worse. They are very "particular" fanboys. They like DK a certain way, which not everyone (many of ourselves included) disagree with. But if it didn't come from Rare, they hate it. They are Rare fanboys, even to the point of trying to say Donkey Kong and Starfox are in the same universe because Tricky from Starfox Adventure has the same name as the first boss from Diddy Kong Racing. No. What's worse, is that IDIOTS will piss and moan that a character they don't recognize is in. It's not because "Japan is better"......it's because we're not morons who do nothing but bitch about every little update.
We expected this. We know who Lucas is. And yeah.... we accept this. We're not going to Boycot the game because a Japan only character is in.
That's blatent stupidity... everything about that post is pure and utter shit. That's the kind of stupidity you find at NSiders usually.

It's cool to pick on DKVine, apparently. There's a few bad apples there, but they're not as bad as people like to pretend they are.

I've said many times (okay, maybe not 'many', but at least once) that my stance on Ness vs Lucas was that Lucas should always have replaced Ness. The fact that it makes people at DKVine all the more upset is just icing on the delicious, creepily-eyed cake.

Part of the reason I love to make fun of them is because the most vocal and uneducated members of the entire board are the administrative staff. A lot of their regular members are pretty bad, but there are good apples in the bunch (like Robbypants!). They just don't give themselves a very good reputation by acting immature. Especially since the guys that are in charge are the worst perpetrators, the most childish of the lot. Yikes! That'd be like if you, Fry and Nester all had my bitterness, Sqrt2's intolerance, and StarFoxRoy's inability to judge proper postmaking! (No offense guys.) |

But yeah, I know what you mean. My favorite member at DKVine is Jim. He plays off them so well. It really should be the "Jim's DKVine Show".
