Japan-only characters are the best! Guys. I wish Doki Doki Panic would appear in smash which is awesome because it never appeared in America because only shitty games are released to the west now if you excuse me I'm going to play some Ouendan which is clearly superior to NoA's abomination called Elite Beat Agents

After reading that thread, I wholeheartedly believe that every character who appeared in a game outside of Japan should be removed and replaced with the entire cast of Fire Emblem 4.

To be completely honest, I never expected the Lucas thread to become a DK Vine bashing thread! ;D

What can I say? Why should anybody expect a Japanese developer to limit themselves to the games that an American/European publisher erroneously decided not to release? Nintendo has released a lot of excellent games that NoA didn't release for unknown reasons.

And I own a copy of Mother 3, supplied by my sister, Satsy, so the suggestion I will never play it is already false, and the suggestion that I won't be playing a translated version as soon as Starmen.net's planned fan-translation is complete is also wrong. I'm looking forward to it.

Let DK Vine think whatever they want to think. Just so long as they don't bring their exaggerated anger here, I don't mind.

And let it be on the record that I still hope Ness is in the game, as it's true - he IS the most well-known Mother character. I've even seen arguments for him on Japanese forums for the exact same reason - that he's the most recognisable character worldwide.

Something tells me Ness and Captain Falcon may have been moved back to unlockable status, as they were in SSB. That would be an interesting development.

I guess I was right that people would be upset if Ness was removed. Not just DKVine, but also some people on VGchartz (but they don't want to kill Sakurai and not buy).

Also, if Ness is back (hope he is) then he'll probably be hidden. C. Falcon is probably still a starter. I mean, theres probably still more character ground to cover. There is 1-3 more character(s).

The thing that surprised me the most its that they are a Donkey Kong (actually Rare) fansite, not an earthbound one, and they get all excited about Lucas remplacing Ness, let that to the people at starmen.net. But yet people at Starmen.net see that this is a GOOD thing! the fact MOTHER 3 needs exposure, even in japan people dishes it becuse its so diferent in setting and tone to the previos MOTHER games .
It has to stop! Once people play trough MOTHER 3 first chapter you will see how awesome this game is (and before someone points it I dont know a peep of japanese, I am still waiting for a translation, etither fan or oficial, and i do own the cartidge, it was easier to import than Tingle RPG, wich is in a lenguage i can understand)

Still I suport japanese only characters like Takamaru and Demiru, but i would aslo like to see some west only Characters like Tin star, Gumshoe or Mike Rogers and of course I want Some international characters like Olimar(Pikmin), RayMk2(Custom Robo) or Sami (Advance Wars) over them.

All four characters are playable, and the game is not completed until the player plays through as all four. In the American localization Toad corresponds to the stout Papa, Princess Toadstool (as Peach was known in North America until the late 1990s) to floaty Lina, high-jumping Mama to Luigi and the Imajin character to Mario.

Oh, ok your talking about the mechanics. Then yes Mario was Imajin but in the sprites Papa Looks more like Mario.

A lot of the DKVine members aren't even Earthbound/MOTHER fans and they're upset by this development. One person on that thread even argued, erroneously, that Ness was the star of all three MOTHERs...

Granted, it's hardly common knowledge to the world of video gaming, but if you're going to argue a point like that you should at least go to Wikipedia to educate yourself.
