So, here's my lowdown. The music and voice really annoyed me at first. Then I see the blue blur in the action and... holy. shit.
Nintendo can make any character look super badass, I'm sorry. Even a washed up hedgehog. This game can't get out the door fast enough ;D ;D ;D

Oh... oh no. Okay, the triple update is amazing. I'm ecstatic that Sonic is in and all this gameplay footage is incredibly awesome. But I've just noticed a sudden, much more subtle change to the US website. Guys, look at the left sidebar. Where it used to say "Release Date: Dec 3, 2007" it now says "Release Date: TBD". .........  |

TBD. And it means "To Be Determined".
Oh, and by the way, Sonic's icon is number 20. Which means there's at least one newcoming franchise we haven't seen yet! Could it be Pikmin? Custom Robo? Something else?

Sonic is in....sigh...well, looks like his confirmation didn't crash the Internet...yet!
After the initial shock of Sonic in Brawl, I kinda see why Sonic is in Brawl. He's the most wanted character mainly because of the Mario vs. Sonic thing.. After the enjoyment of the gimmick of such fight gets old, we are left with just another character who just fills in a roster spot.
Me, meh, I never really wanted him in Brawl. He's so overrated but whatever. Oh, and I never really liked his 3D character model and he appears in that form in Brawl, ugh. Well, that's fanservice to the Sonic fanboys.
So Sonic is #20? I wonder what's #19... Pikmin? Nazo no Murasame Jou? Mole Mania? Duck Hunt? Mega Man? Punch-Out?

I bet Sonic is the reason the game is delayed. Sakurai probably had to put Sonic in Brawl in the last minute so they had to delay the game just to include Sonic.

Quite a nice update. It's good to see some new footage of the game and and it's characters and the annoument of Sonic is great! The delay might not be so bad. I mean there could be a worldwide release or something in 2008. YEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! SONIC'S THE NAME, SPEED'S MY GAME! Ugh, I knew there'd be people complaining.  Sonic is a solid character, a gaming icon, and a unique fighter. Pipe down, whining about it makes you look like Nintendo fanboys stuck in the 90s. Don't like it? Don't play as him. Simple as. EDIT: Also, I find it hilarious that people are saying Nintendo are making Sonic cool again when everything he does in the trailer is taken directly from an already existing Sonic game.  |

Well, I think this is great news. Sure enough, the Mario vs. Sonic thing was all the rage when I was a kid - and I drew my fair share of pictures of the two of them duking it out. And now, not only do I get to do that in an actual game... but it also means I don't have to buy Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games to fulfill that desire! Woohoo! Anyway, I am happy he seems to be a mix of both old and new styles, like most of the characters. I just hope he's not too Uber.  |
