One franchise with 3 games released within 5-10 years of each other is hardly major.

You should have seen Smash Boards, some of them are saying they would rather Ness not be in Brawl at all than to see him as an AT because they don't want to see Ness going from a playable character to an insignificant item. And of course there are plenty of Ness fanboys who are in denial, saying Ness can still be playable with different moves or be same as before because Lucas would be the Luigified Ness. I feel the same way about Falco. If he were an Assist Trophy instead of playable, it'd just be a massive cocktease; why bother putting the effort into making a model and giving him something to do, when you could have gone the extra mile and made him playable? You have the most obnoxious way of making a point.

Deoxys and Meowth being Pokeball Pokemon and Samurai Goroh, Lyn, and Little Mac being ATs are massive cocktease! Why make full 3D models of them and have them do something when Sakurai could have gone the extra mile to make them playable? In fact, ATs and Pokeballs shouldn't be allowed in Brawl, they are just teasing you, "nah! nah! this character is unplayable!" So be my guest and whine about the possibility of Falco and Ness being ATs and being replaced by Krystal and Lucas.

Okay, that's what I meant by the "obnoxious" thing. And you missed my point. But I'm not gonna get worked up over you being a buttpirate, so have fun with that. XD

I missed the point? You were the one saying that Falco being an AT would be a cocktease because why bother making a 3D model of Falco and making him do something when he could have gone the extra mile as a playable character. Following that thinking, Little Mac, Lyn, Samurai Goroh, Deoxys, and Meowth are cockteasers. XD

You extrapolating doesn't mean I was trying to make the point you think I was making--but that's okay. I'll forgive you for making an ass out of you and me this time.

Takes one to know one, sweet cheeks. EDIT: Anyway, so I was thinking about why Ness is likely not playable in Brawl. And well, think about it... Ness was replaced by Lucas in the Mother franchise, so why should Ness stay? Just because he's one of the original 12? Lucas replaced Ness in the Mother series and Lucas could do pretty much anything Ness can do in the Mother series... so it kinda makes sense that Lucas replaced Ness in Brawl. If Ness was really coming back, Lucas would have gotten entirely different moves, but no, Lucas practically got all of Ness's moves with some modifications, leaving Ness with practically nothing. And I really believe that is the case because Lucas plays very similar to Ness so playing as Lucas would be like playing as an upgraded version of Ness. So even if I main as Ness, I could easily adapt to playing as Lucas because he plays almost just like Ness. Another character that could be used as a good example would be Ike. If Ike replaced Roy, why didn't Ike keep most of Roy's moves? Simple, Ike is how Roy would have been if Roy was not Marth's clone. So Ike is basically a decloned Roy. Even their standard specials seem to work similar (the animations are different, though) that they could instantly KO enemies when fully charged. Plus Ike is currently the most recent FE lord just as Roy was going to be the most recent FE lord at the time Melee came out (he only got in to advertise his FE game). So I expect Marth to retain his Melee moveset while Ike is the decloned Roy with the "PHIRE1!" I don't expect anyone to agree with my post here. My ideas and thoughts concerning Smash are usually very controversial that I tend to get flamed or whatever. Oh, well... here's to Ness. Rest in peace, little boy.

My thoughts on Ness: I am sad that he is(probobly) gone, but at the same time i'm really happy. Really REALLY happy. Why? Because I hate Ness, yet he is my best character. But not my main. Weird huh?

Talking about Fire Emblem characters I wouldn't mind Marth being out and replaced by a fresh new FE character, one without blue hair, maybe wielding something else like a spear or a big fucking axe. Mostly because I don't give a shit about Marth I guess.
Dunno if you guys were serious or not but that 'extra mile' going from AT to playable character is a pretty damn big mile.

Know what? That isn't weird to me. I feel pretty much the same as you. Ness is one of my favorite characters in Melee simply because I loved his fighting style (his aerial down A is awesome!) but I didn't care about Ness's character (never played Earthbound) so I am very open about Ness being replaced with Lucas because I knew Lucas would play very similar as Ness (and I was right, for once!) so playing as Lucas would be playing as an upgraded Ness.

Thank god, I'm so happy Ness is out.
Nice to see PK Freeze, too.

Why!? You three confuse the shit out of me. Why would you be happy to see Ness out when there is no actual reason for it? Lucas could be just as boring as a character as Ness was. I'm happy about Lucas' inclusion in brawl but if Ness is cut it's going to make me sad. And making a formerly Playable character a AT is just stupid for this series and I doubt Ness will be an AT. If he's in he's still playable. It looks dim right now but jumping to conclusions does not make you right or smart either.

I took a look around, and the only thing saving Ness is if they think to give him PSI Shield as a Down Special, PK Starstrorm as an Up Special, and either PK Hypnosis or Paralyze as a Side Special. That's the best thing I could think of.

Why would Sakurai give Ness all-new moves if he could have saved time by having Ness keep his old moves?
