No way, Eggman isn't as badarse  and I think merlina would be different, but the name is unoriginal. |

Apparently Merlina isn't actually Merlin, but Merlin's granddaughter, or something. I'd like Eggman to be Merlin, actually. XD
All I know for sure right now is that Knuckles is Sir Gawain.

Sonic was supposed to Aladdin in the last story, right? Or at least the ending implies he took his place. I wonder if this means that Sonic will take over the role of Lancelot.

I just had another thought, actually. If Merlina is Merlin's granddaughter, maybe Merlin is Professor Gerald Robotnik, and Merlina is Maria. I don't know exactly how far into the supporting cast they're reaching, but that seems like a good fit.

I still think Merlina will be the chick from Secret Rings and will play the role as Sonic's guide throughout the game.

There are a few new screenshots from the game here, including a couple of Knuckles and Shadow. And Masamune, if that's Eggman, then he's wearing a really tight corset. (and i'm sure there are some Sonic fans that would like that) |

Looks like it. That's an awesome reference to the cartoon if he is. (And I think it was referenced in Sonic Chronicles)
The game looks fun. Not earth shattering or anything.

Question: does Sonic eat chili dogs in all of the cartoons he's been in?
(I know he eats them in Sonic SatAM, and in one strange instance it appeared he once used a chili dog vending machine that looked like it was located in a sewer).

Well, I do know they were like crack to him in the Archie comics. Back when I was younger, I downloaded a bunch of 'em. They were actually pretty good.
