Manky Kong was the orangutan that threw barrels at you in DKC. He's the only orangutan in the series thus far. In DKC3, a chimp named Minky Kong threw stuff at you in tree levels.

If you go by drone status, there's whole clan of Manky Kongs out there. I've always thought of Lanky as the one "good guy" Manky who got kicked out of the clan for clowning around instead of throwing barrels.

This has confused me: They brought back Tiny and Lanky, but not Chunky?

Why didn't they? Everybody knows chunky is one HELL of a Kong. And he was attacked by giant killer tomatoes. Wait, that must be why.

PAON has yet to use them I guess. If PAON ever does get another shot at a DK game, it'll be a perfect opportunity to bring them back.

Did PAON make Barrel Blast? EDIT: Scratch that, they did. AND they bought the rights to all the old Data East games, which I didn't know Does that mean we'll get Tumble Pop and Joe N Mac on the VC?

Actually, Paon only bought the rights to Chelnov (a.k.a. Atomic Runner) and the Hercules no Eikou series. WorkJam took the Tantei Jingūji Saburō series (which they were Data East's most recent developers for the series), Createch took the Metal Max series. G-Mode bought the rights to several other Data East games, except for these next ones I don't know who owns the rights to: Ring King/King of Boxer/Family Boxing (Woodplace Inc.? Namco?) The Cliffhanger: Edward Randy Captain Silver Performan Zippy Bug Spinmaster (a.k.a. Miracle Adventure) The original Karnov arcade game Let's not turn this into a Data East topic.
