Yeah there is a great divide in Pokemon generations.

So, if today's Pokemon audience wants a 4th gen Pokemon in Brawl, that's fine. But why were most of them supporting the Pokemon that happens to strongly resemble a furry (Lucario) instead of legendaries Manaphy or better yet, Darkrai? That's my point. If today's Star Fox audience wants Krystal, why accuse them of being fapping furries? I'm using the same logic applied to Krystal with Lucario here, that they only wanted them in because they are furries. I wanted Lucario in Brawl, not because he's a furry but because I thought he would be an unique Pokemon who couldn't possibly replace Mewtwo. I also wanted Krystal in Brawl, not because she's a furry, but because I wanted a non-clone Star Fox character. So, no, I wasn't that serious when I made that controversial statement. I just forgot to add to the end of that post.

Manaphy is a mirage Pokémon like Mew and the others, while Darkrai was not well-known yet outside of Japan. Plus both of them are promotional Pokémon unlike Mewtwo and Lucario and it's better to have a character in Smash if you actually met or controlled them in the normal gameplay.
And what Man-Frog says can happen. It's just that right now it's hard to see Lucario away because it remains a Pokémon used a lot in Nintendo products and games (even Brawl is one of them; it's not like Smash is the final objective of a character's popularity). It's even spreading to Riolu, a Pokémon obtainable in a Special Mission in Rangers of Almia and a playable character in the upcoming third installment of Mystery Dungeon. Lucario is a flagship Pokémon like Pikachu and Meowth.
I wonder what moves could Mewtwo have if it came back? The same ones based on its first movie? They did that with Zelda and it's not wrong. Something interesting that I want to point out (if there are move purists here) is that Aura Sphere is one of the new moves Mewtwo can learn in this generation, but that's a move first seen and therefore mostly associated with Lucario. IDK, maybe that contributed to not refrain from "replacing" Mewtwo with Lucario.

I'm using the same logic applied to Krystal with Lucario here, that they only wanted them in because they are furries. I think the difference is that Krystal looks like a scantily-clad glamour model covered head-to-toe in fur and given an animal head, while Lucario just looks like a bipedal cartoon dog. People want Lucario over Manaphy or Darkrai because Lucario is at least fifteen thousand times more awesome and well-known than either of them.

On the subject of Krystal. I try not to let the weird fans a character may have impare my judgment on them. Besides what's Zero Suit Samus but a whole lotta fan service right there. I'm sure she's got just as many freaky perverted pictures on the internet as Krystal.

But Zero Suit Samus is just an extra feature of Samus that only actually appears in, what, two games? Krystal is nothing but fanservice. She's a character devoid of depth, and that's why I dislike her. Especially since she drove Peppy - an actually good character - out of service.

Eh, the whole Star Fox series and its fans are fucked up.
Peppy's only good for his "Barrel Roll" jokes, Fox and Falco are commonly put into homo-erotic fanart (more than Krystal, I might add), Slippy's always made fun of because of his feminine characteristics, and...oh I don't know. ROB 64 is probably a satanic cultist.
So just saying you don't like Krystal because of her retarded fans isn't a good enough reason (this isn't directed at you Kirbychu, I know you listed a good reason.).

Amen. You can't hate a character because of their fans.
Also, people seem to forget that Krystal has a background story too. She also has telepathic powers. Plus she posed as an important plot device in Star Fox Command. I wouldn't say she lacks all depth. Hell I think she has more depth than Peach! ;D

I wouldn't say she lacks all depth. Hell I think she has more depth than Peach! ;D What is her background story? I've never heard it, and I've played every game she's been in. Psychic powers are not character depth, and are incredibly cliché. StarFox Command's story stopped me being a StarFox fan. It not only turned Krystal into a slut, further sullying my opinion of her, but also turned Fox into a whiny emo. Thanks to that game, not only do I dislike Krystal, but she took Fox, my previous favourite character, down with her.

Well according to the manual she is the sole survivor of her planet and now roams the galaxy looking for the reason her world was destroyed.
"whiny emo" I never got that impression. Sorry.

Hahahahahah!!!! So apparently yiffing with a furry will turn you an emo!
You all know I'm not a fan of the Star Fox series. Its just not my type of genre, I guess. I don't care about Fox, Falco, Wolf, Krystal, etc. I only wanted Krystal in Brawl and now SSB4 because I wanted a non-clone Star Fox character. That's why I'm more than willing to replace either Falco or Wolf with her because frankly, Star Fox does not need 4 reps.

I'll admit, the designers obviously marketed Krystal as a sex symbol *shudders* but... That is one flirtatious falcon...

Well what about these? Samus was one of the first sex symbols since the earliest Metroid games, people wanted to be the game quickly so they could see her with her armor off. I don't know why you guys have such a hard time excepting Krystal. If depth is a problem: look at Peach. If her fan service is a problem: look at Samus. Since when do Nintendo characters have such high standards? I swear if it wasn't for the fur fandom, we wouldn't have these problems.
