But you've yet to convince me that she's worth including on that front, either. She may be Fox's love interest, yes, but so what? In Twilight Princess, Ilia was heavily implied to be Link's love interest. Should she be in?
Other than that, Krystal is Fox's current number 4 sidekick. Behind Slippy and Falco. Fox already has a sidekick and a rival in the game, already more than this relatively small-time series needs. So... really, what pressing need is there to cram another StarFox character in? Metroid and F-Zero are both bigger series with less representation and more to draw from. Give her slot to one of them, for god's sake.

Well, the only other character that's consistent enough in the Metroid series is Ridley, which I do want on the list.

Krystal has been playable. Krystal is capable of fighting. Krystal is Fox's love interest. Krystal is a driving point. Krystal is the series Peach, except bigger because she takes on a far more active role in the series. Slippy's actually been demoted to number 4 sidekick after Krystal was introduced because, hello, Krystal was a much more important character, being, you know, a damsel in distress, being playable in her debut (hell, her first EVER sighting was playable,) and being such a hit from the beginning. Slippy didn't hit that mark. Wolf didn't either. I'll back you on Metroid and F-Zero, but only because they have nothing to show for their success. But Star Fox is still a HUGE series. If Mario games came out as frequently as Star Fox games did, I can assure you that the Mario franchise would be more popular than it already is, because a) there'd be no filler, b) they'd be MUCH better (which says alot), and c) they'd have alot more hype. It's the same thing as the Smash Bros. series: Since Melee came out, everyone was waiting for Brawl because everyone loved Melee and it was going to take a long time to get Brawl.
And Ilia's only appeared in one game. If you're going to be like that then at least pick a character with the same amount of consistancy. From debut on, how many times has Krystal appeared in a mainstream game? Krystal a) has a 1:1 ratio from debut on of mainstream games she's been in and b) has a 1:1 ratio from debut on of mainstream games she's been playable in. She has ALOT more signifigance than Slippy and INFINITELY more signifigance than Ilia.

Can we talk about something else? Give the Krystal debate a break for a few pages, yes?

Well about Ridley. I think he's perfect for Brawl. I don't understand why people think size is an issue.

I'm actually willing to say it's not much of a debate if there's only one person arguing against. But I'm up for it anyways.
Here's one: Samurai Goroh. Need I say more? He'd use his katana for alot of moves, such as a rolling jump-slash (Goroh Wheel,) a powerful downwards slash (Goroh Chop,) a powerful forward stab (Goroh Thrust,) and a counter (Goroh Block.) They'd all be fiery, just like Falcon's moves, and they'd be much stronger and slower than Falcon's.
I'll say more. Samurai Goroh's been around since Show 1 and has always been the rival of that blue buzzard Captain Falcon. With his Fire Stingray he's raced into second place in both his races and our hearts, always beaten by his sworn enemy, Captain Falcon. Samurai Goroh is a big-time fighter who's popularity has earned him a place as an Assist Trophy already. Now all we need is that little bit more.

No argument there. I don't think there's anyone who doesn't think this guy needs to be in a Smash Bros. game.
I believe these are the "Undeniables" characters no one can refuse:
Samurai Goroh Stafy Little Mac
I don't think any arguments will rise on those three.

Shrinking Ridley is like shrinking Rayquaza. Their large sizes are what make them... them! Ridley wouldn't be Ridley if he was suddenly downsized in SSB4. I mean, he's perfect as a giant space dragon. It suits his character. I mean, Ridley lifted Samus with only one hand in Brawl! One hand all around Samus's hips! Samurai Goroh is a maybe to me, though. EDIT: Stafy sounds good to me. The only problem is he's Japan-only. Sakurai didn't want to add too many Japan-only characters so we only got one new Japan-only character (Lucas) in Brawl. Stafy, Takamaru, and Captain Rainbow are the only good Japan-only characters I can think of would be perfect for Smash though. I hope we get at least 2 of them. 2 out of 3 isn't too bad. Right?

Samurai Goroh Stafy Isaac Little Mac I don't think any arguments will rise on those three. fix'd cause Stafy causes a lot of arguments. In my personal opinion, each series should not have more than four reps. And for accuracy's sake, Mario, Pokemon, Kirby, Zelda, Yoshi, Ice Climbers, Kid Icarus, Warioware, MOTHER, and Pikmin are the series that should not have any more characters.

Samurai Goroh is a maybe to me, though. Ok, why? I'll add one more thought about Samurai Goroh (I already posted about him here). When he was announced as an Assist Trophy, fans hoped there was still a second F-Zero playable character in Brawl, with Black Shadow being a choice since no role had been announced for him yet. When speaking about roles of characters, you have archetypes like the hero, the sidekick, the damsel in distress, the villain, the rival, etc. Black Shadow is a villain of sorts, and Samurai Goroh is a rival. But I think the point of races (like those in F-Zero) is more comparable to the notion of rivalry, and that's one more reason why I think Samurai Goroh is the best option for the next F-Zero character in Smash.

Oh, I have no problems with Samurai Goroh. Its just that I am not really sure if F-Zero needs a second playable character.

F-Zero does indeed need a second playable character. It's a series with the most playable characters in it next to Pokemon and Fire Emblem. Not having Gorohghhoghoghogoh be playable in SSB is practically criminal.
That said, I'll have to go under the assumption that SSB4 will mostly likely end up making some of the Assists playable In that regard, Stafy might get a promotion, but what could they base his moveset off of?

No, because he has been about the size of Samus in earlier appearances. Ridley's size doesn't make him Ridley, Ridley's destructive tendencies and pteranodon-like structure makes him Ridley.

I support the following Assists to be playable in SSB4 - Tingle (for the 5th Zelda slot), Little Mac (new franchise), Saki Amamiya (another new franchise), and Infantry & Tanks (yet another new franchise; Andy stays in the background and gives orders to 3 soldiers who fight like an Ice Climbers team).
