I didn't make a post out of one word three times for nothing. Unlikely though it may be.

Looks like you're all just making this discussion even worse than it already was from the beginning. Well I'm trying to get things organized with some voting. Also I don't see how a topic where people debate their opinions is all that terrible. Isn't that what forums are about? I'm starting to dislike this superior attitude people have about discussions. Like "this is worthy of discussing and this is not" or "if you bother to discuss this you're an idiot" kind of thing I've seen around here, and I don't like it. So what if we choose to debate about Smash Bros? Canon? Or anything else. Does that make us less intelligent? Does that make a topic worthless? We all have our interests, our ideas, our opinions on all sorts of things. Don't look down on anyone for what those may be! Also Shrikeswind, Timber is a Rare owned character, not Nintendo.

Eh, point taken. Fair enough.
I never said that certain topics were "inferior" to others, though. It's just that this kind of thing gets so tried and true a lot that...I donno. Makes it high time to move onto something else, perhaps.
Made myself clearer there, hopefully, so no "superior" vibes attached.

The problem is that this thread was a supposed to be a "settle on the perfect roster" thread, when eventually it somehow turned into "these are the characters I want to see in SSB4" thread. Hence why I kept pointing out to Arcadenik and Rukifellth what I did.

Hence why I kept pointing out to Arcadenik and Rukifellth what I did. Trouble is, there's no such thing as a "perfect" roster. Every character someone wants is a character someone else hates. I'd say the only real safe choices are Mario and Link. They're the only ones I can't imagine anyone objecting to under any circumstance.

Also Shrikeswind, Timber is a Rare owned character, not Nintendo. I'm not so sure on that, not since he's still in DKRDS and the clearly Rare-owned characters Banjo and Conker were replaced. I'm not adding him until a) I know for a fact that Nintendo owns him and b) I know for a fact people would back him, but I'm still offering the suggestion.

Actually, Banjo and Conker are Microsoft owned. Everyone else is just owned by Rare, who are allowed to make games for handheld systems (in which they chose the DS) and put out that Viva Pinata game and Diddy Kong Racing. So, yeah. Nintendo doesn't have the rights.

Hence why I kept pointing out to Arcadenik and Rukifellth what I did. Look, I agree with most of the characters almost everyone wants in SSB4 like Dixie Kong, King K. Rool, Tingle, Takamaru, Little Mac, Starfy, and Saki Amamiya. I only wanted the Hunting Dog to be the next WTF character after R.O.B. and Mr. Game & Watch. What is wrong with having a playable Duck Hunt dog?

But since Rare is owned by Microsoft, you're basically saying that NONE of those characters except for Diddy Kong and Krunch could have returned.

Golden Sun was represented by a trophy, stickers, assist trophy, and a remixed song! That's more than any of those other characters got. (Besides of course Tingle and the DK characters.) But since Rare is owned by Microsoft, you're basically saying that NONE of those characters except for Diddy Kong and Krunch could have returned. What? No, all the characters that have never appeared on the Xbox are free game. Use some common sense for Christs sakes, not everything you say has to be a rebuttal.

There isn't anything wrong with it, but there's no real reason to want it playable other than the fact that you came up with the moveset idea.

What do you call that post, a happy reply?

You just dismiss them because you think they are not valid reasons to include a character. Just what are the valid reasons to include characters? Hm?

Guys, enough about the Hunting Dog. Okay? Arcadenik, if you can't be civil about it, no more WTF Characters period, Man-Frog, if you can't be civil about it, I'll add the Hunting Dog anyways. Now, let's discuss Toad and get on with our lives. Pros - Playability in main games (SMB2, Wario's Woods,) high fame (next most recognizable character after Wario,) viable movesets ( click here for an example.) Cons - Recent lack of mainstream appearances.

What do you call that post, a happy reply? This is something that is just so obvious, it's pissing me off that I have to explain it. Rare had Banjo Kazooie 3 (or Banjo Threeie) planned ever since Microsoft bought them out. Rare then made Conker's Live and Reloaded. Now, since Rare had already used Conker and were planning on using Banjo for the Xbox, those characters were officially owned by Microsoft. Rare found a loophole in that since Microsoft didn't have a portable system, they were allowed to make games for the DS, so they released Diddy Kong Racing DS. Banjo and Conker were not in the game because they had become Xbox exclusive. Get it? Now this retarded "debate" can end.
