Yeah, I've got one going too. But first off, I'll have to explain how I work these things out:
In short, what I do is often apply entirely new concepts and other such ideas to a series instead of drawing from what's already there in past games. But of course, I'll have to make sure it feels good and right enough to work right on. Careful planning, indeed.
For example: Sure, some characters like Rosalina (in Galaxy) haven't been seen doing much, but who the heck is saying that they can't do anything else? The way I see it, she has plenty of potential to be a more promising character next time, maybe...
Most of the Star Fox characters don't seem to be seen outside their vehicles too often, but most people seem to say that because of this, they can't really do anything else. Hint: Play as Fox, Falco, or Wolf in Brawl. More than enough evidence right there for you. Better yet, play Assault.
I'm not interested in coming up with new characters (leave that to Nintendo, surprise me!), but original concepts applied to each character and stuff is the way to go. Gotta go with some originality, ja?
Smash is also best known for sprinkling original concepts here and there. Just look at the Ice Climbers and most Final Smashes!
Just something you should know when I do these. So that's that. Right! Now to begin with the first game idea!
PRINCESS POWER![/u]
Wii/Mario series
Princess Peach gets another starring role in another adventure, and this time, it's a lot more...let's say, advanced. Not only is it her who's playable, but there's also Daisy and Rosalina by her side!
Here we go:
THE STORY
A new threat has risen over the Mushroom Kingdom. Bowser has kidnapped Princess Pe-...oh wait, no he hasn't this time! Anyway, as always, Bowser and his goons have been planning something, but it doesn't involve kidnapping Peach this time around, that's for sure! No, he's got something else up his sleeve; he's reviving the villains of the past adventures of the Mario Bros. after they got bested by them.
These villains are Cackletta, Princess Shroob, Kammy Koopa, and the Shadow Queen. (Yep, them again) Go, Mario! Go, Luigi! Stop them now once more!
...
...Wait, where ARE they?!? Aw, shucks! It so happens the Mario Bros. are currently on vacation at Isle Delfino! So who will save the Mushroom Kingdom now?!
Meanwhile, Peach and her friends, Daisy and Rosalina, have become aware of this danger. Peach wonders what she should do about this, and so she has decided: “I've been kidnapped more than enough by that creep Bowser! I think it's time we teach him a lesson for good now!” And with that, the three begin their adventure! Good luck, fair princesses! Can you do it? You look like you could use some help there, however. Try seeing your other friends for that.
This time, there's more than meets the eye to the three princesses. They can now use a special power of donning (“transforming” into) armored suits of sorts known as Super Suits which grant them more strength and more acrobatic abilities. Together, the girls' group is known as “Princess Power”!
THE BASIC GIST
Here are those "Super Suits":
Unfortunately, I haven't finished Peach's yet. Maybe later.
In their dresses, they touch the brooches on their chests to "transform" into them, magical girl anime-style (Don't worry, these scenes can be bypassed by pressing any button after the first time you see em).
Other characters like Pauline, Prince Peasley, and E. Gadd make cameo appearances from time to time.
HOW TO PLAY
In the beginning of this game, you'll start off with only Peach. As you progress throughout the adventure, you'll find the other two princesses eventually and will be able to play as them from that point on. Like in Super Mario 64 DS, you can switch between each of them from a certain room in Peach's Castle.
As the princesses' main form of defense, they specialize in using magic of sorts. This is when they're in their normal dresses. But when in their Super Suits, their abilities are more physical and acrobatic.
They don't start with their Super Suit transformations, however. They'll have to find their special gems that allow them to do that first!
Once you have gained the ability to transform into the Super Suit, you can do so or change right back at will. They won't be used 24/7, though! There will be times when you should change back.
Also as you go on, you can even find Super Suit upgrades that will enhance the princesses' suit abilities accordingly, courtesy of E. Gadd.
MAGIC AND OTHER ABILITIES
Each of the magic spells uses a “magic points” system that gives you a set amount of points to use for each spell. You can gain more to use at certain points in the game.
Peach
Heart Sparkle – A basic close-range attack that hits most enemies. Not all that strong, however. (0 magic points)
Heart Beam – Peach will fire a long-range beam made out of hearts at an enemy. It's a bit stronger than the Heart Sparkle. (2 magic points)
Fire Orb – Peach will cast an orb of fiery energy at enemies. (3 magic points)
Flame Wall – An upgrade to the Fire Orb spell. Peach casts a barrier of fire around her, and it expands to take down all nearby enemies! (5 magic points)

Naptime – Causes all enemies nearby to fall asleep. (9 magic points)
Heal – Peach will heal herself, recovering all her HP entirely. (3 magic points)

Star Rain – Rosalina will send down a giant star to squash enemies flat. (5 magic points)
Electro Orb – Rosalina will cast an orb of electrical energy at enemies; it may paralyze them. (3 magic points)
Thunderbolt – An upgrade to the Electro Orb spell. Rosalina will cast down a massive thunderbolt to shock enemies silly. (5 magic points)
Lightning Wave – The third and final upgrade to Rosalina's thunder power. Electrifies and paralyzes all enemies on-screen, but can only be used once until you rejuvenate your magic power again. (All available magic points)
Meteor Shower – She will cast a vast storm of huge meteors down onto the earth, smashing all enemies nearby. (9 magic points)
Barrier – She will form a barrier around her which makes her impervious to many attacks. (2 magic points)
Revive – If Rosalina falls, she will be revived and regain all her HP. This can only be used automatically if she does get downed. (3 magic points)
Now to get to what the princesses do when they get into their Super Suits. As you'll see, these attacks are more physical and acrobatic as opposed to magic.
Super Princess Basic Attacks

Yowza, I ttly outdid myself on this! Anyway, as you can see, many of them are references to Super Mario RPG, Super Mario 64, and Kirby Super Star. References are always fun, eh?
Well, I may get to worlds and stuff later, but those are the most important, crucial parts of the game.
That's a wrap for now! Thanks for your time, I guess. I know, kinda corny.
My next game idea is "Yoshi's Island: Yoshi & Birdo".
