I like Lyn far more than Hector or Eliwood, thank you very much. My knowledge about Boo Destroyer is that he arranged so just because he's an FE n00b. No offense to him, but he seems to be picking whatever he sees... for now. <opinion type="biased">I mean, he doesn'e even think Micaiah is evil. </opinion> I don't know, I think that if you're going to design games with other company's characters in mind, you should use the ones you like the most. May not please everybody, but that's not the point (which you can't, anyway). So I think you're doing fine, BD. Somewhat... this is what Sakurai does. Picking music from X of all games, assigning the most important stuff for the 3 Kirby characters and (like many others on the internet) overspeak about FALCON PUNCH.

Well character choices asside. The most important thing you should come up with is gameplay design.

I'm fine with critique and I can take it, you know. Just not anything to the effect of "GTFO, ass!" and nothing more. And that's just annoying... If my creativity offends you that much, I donno. To be fair, I haven't ever seen you take much criticism gracefully. You seem to either ignore it or take offence. And on that note... Don't mature Ribbon and Adeliene. Not only is it seriously messed-up creepy, it'll make them unrecognisable as Kirby characters. And fans messing with characters in that way is worse than Mary-Sue fan characters. Much, much worse.

Now that I have a chance, let me point out that all your ideas really do read like bad fanfic. You haven't even made much of an effort to set these apart from what already exists, and in addition you don't really put much detail into your descriptions.

Yeah, my storywriting ain't the greatest, but even if I were to do it, I like to keep them relatively simple. Well, I've got to stay along the formulas of each series for the most part. The ones that make them what they are. (Not sure if that's what you're getting at on that one, but do correct me if I'm wrong.) And true, I should take more time on descriptions in WordPad or what-have-you instead of rushing many of them right on here. Bad habit on my part. I have no interest in coming up with any "fan characters" for them, seeing as they'll end up flopping anyway. Coming up with newer characters is the only thing I'll leave up to Nintendo. It's just the concepts where I get original. I take this back. Somewhat. If you're gonna come up with a fan-character, it takes knowing the series very well and especially using them when they're actually called for. And of course, making sure they aren't Mary-Sues. I'm not a fan of those either, but saying that all fan-characters are Mary-Sues is kinda blatantly jumping to conclusions. There are some good fan-characters around, but it's very rare. Heck, I've already got one set up for Kirby Dark PopStar right here: img15.imageshack.us/img15/5272/darklet.jpgDarklets, the main villains of the game and inhabitants of Dark PopStar.

So....basically the darklets are the bastard lovechildren of Shadow Sirens and Heartless? Kinda renders Dark Matter's former reign pointless. I will admit that the "don't inhale or risk getting possessed" thing is a unique idea.

Though as far as I'm concerned, Ing (Metroid Prime 2: Echoes) and Magiblots (Super Paper Mario) came to mind. They are somewhat drones/mini-troops of the Dark Matter. Hmmm, now this got me wanting to update this one some more...

It's just that I've had enough of people automatically thinking that so often.
After some reconsideration, the original Ribbon may stay in this one. I won't discard the aged design entirely, but I'll see another use for it: making it a different character under a different name in another game.
The name will be Rachelle (lol c wut i did thar) and she'll be the main helper character throughout "Princess Power!" and will hand down magical abilities to Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina at many points, in the vain of Great Fairies of many Zelda games. Gotta have a character like that. Yes, the design is quite an obvious reference to Ribbon, but think Talon and Ingo from Zelda OOT.
I agree, something like this is way out of place in the overall of the Kirby series.

But why did you do it in the first place?

Tiny Kong, Wham Bam Rock, Kabula, Daisy (starting on Mario Party 4), Pit, Palutena, and others...I've had a time where I thought redesigns of long absent characters to be quite the hip thing, but now... After some reconsideration, the original Ribbon may stay in this one. I won't discard the aged design entirely, but I'll see another use for it: making it a different character under a different name in another game.

The idea for a Kirby "Link to the Past" is brilliant. They did it for Mario and Metroid too, so why not Kirby?

The idea for a Kirby "Link to the Past" is brilliant. They did it for Mario and Metroid too, so why not Kirby? It was done for Mario? I don't really recall any Mario game like that... Edit: Ah, nevermind. I just found it out: Yoshi's Safari. Boy, never expected that out of it.

MAH BOI!!!!!
...Yoshi's Safari? Now I do not understand. It has 12 separate stages, but none is linked to each other.
The only thing close enough I can see would be a single SMB3 stage where you can use doors to switch between big/small terrains and enemies. Since both lead to an exit, I don't even know why is the option there.
